Tomlin’s smashes it. Amazing bbq is all I can say. These guys have really perfected the art of infusing tremendous smokey, juicy wonderfulness into their meats. Let’s not forget the dang sauce. Dang! These guys are nowhere near where I live, but the drive is so worth it.
You can feel the good energy ✨️ and love these folk put into their food. Love it.

Best BBQ in North Georgia and it’s not even close. And one of my favorite in the state and the region. I’m partial to the brisket with a side of cheese grits but never had anything I didn’t like. Always good. Easy to get in and out of. Usually take it to go but there is some outdoor seating at a picnic table that comes in handy.

The BEST BBQ in Northeast Georgia…Hands Down!! If you are traveling US Hwy 441 between Clayton, GA and Franklin, NC in the months of May and October, you must stop and try Tomlin BBQ and Catering! They are located next to the Osage Market on the North side of US 441. It is a small, walk up stand, but don’t let the size make you think the taste is small. They’re BBQ is traditional pulled pork, beef brisket, chicken, and ribs. They have their own sauces that complement the meat not over powering the favor of the meat itself. The view from “dining tables” (picnic tables under a cover she’d) is breath taking!! Take the time to stop and enjoy the true taste of mountain BBQ at Tomlin BBQ & Catering…you won’t be disappointed (unless they run out)!! Oh…try the milk shakes too!!

Fantastic, smoky BBQ. I’ve been here several times over the past 10+ years and the sandwiches (especially brisket) are consistently amazing, and you get a lot of food for the price! There are picnic tables if you want to eat there.
The only thing that wasn’t great was the Sunday special rib plate. The ribs were tough and extremely fatty and I wouldn’t get them again. I’m still giving 5 stars because the service is very quick, and the brisket sandwich with their vinegar BBQ sauce is just that good.

I couldnt resist stopping when I saw all the cars and the line! Worth it! I had the best strawberry milkshake-perfectly flavored and light. The Brunswick stew was excellent. And a stop at the Osage farmers market! I will Plan to stop here on my next travel in the area.

Pretty good value on a BBQ pork sandwich, and their original sauce was certainly the highlight.

I was coming back from the GSM half marathon in TN. I was having a hard time finding a BBQ spot with limited phone service and figured if I saw one on the way to Atlanta I would stop by. I flew past this red shack and something told me to U-turn and come back around. I am glad that I did. To my surprise this was the Tomlin BBQ spot that I have heard about. I had some ribs earlier in the week so I figure I try something different. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and some sides. The young girl at the front was very sweet and helped me out with the menu. Ordering was quick and easy even though they had a lot of orders (which is a good indicator that you are at the right spot). They’ll hand you a ticket and call out for you when it is ready. My order took less than 2 minutes around lunch time on a Sunday. You can’t beat that. The gentleman that handed me my food was very kind as well.
The pulled pork was great and the sauce was PERFECT. Tomlin’s does not have your predictable baked beans taste. No, their baked beans has originality unlike most places where I am sure they serve Bush’s baked beans from the can. A punch full of flavor! I always like to judge a BBQ spot by their brunswick stew. Cloudy weather and a hard run calls for a powerhouse stew and I am glad I got theirs. Let me put it short to you, this is the best brunswick stew I have had since Where There’s Smoke in DT Winder closed shop several years back. The chunkyness of the tomato in their stew was perfection. I outta by a pint next time.
All in all, great service and great food. I just wish there was one closer to me now D:

Great value for the price you pay for food! Their peach milkshakes and strawberry milkshakes can make you melt once you taste them! Wish they were open every day not just weekends!
