Both times I’ve been there I’ve had to wait several minutes for an employee to come over and greet me- they usually just stand around. When I ordered food and a pepsi. I wasn’t informed I had to go get the pepsi myself, she then tried to make me pay for it a second time after forgetting I already paid for it. The second time I waited at the checkout for a few minutes while one dude walked in circles and the other decided to clean. I asked out loud if I could check out with him Incase he didn’t see me to which he said with an attitude “you can in a minute when I’m done with this.” While paying he then told me to pick a tip for him- I clicked no tip. He signed the receipt for me without asking. Don’t think that’s allowed . Over all poor service but it’s the only area to eat there so you just have to deal with it.

What can you say pretty good small restaurant and bar and shop all in one. Burgers where 10 bucks and looked good had a Turkey Sandwich was 10 bucks but decent size. Caught a nice sunset waiting for the plane. Gainesville FL airport sometimes can be cheap. North Carolina Fayetteville was 81 buck one way.

Hadn’t eaten, so I got a wrapped bagel by the cashier’s station. They did offer to toast it for me but I regrettably declined as it was a bit dry. I sat at the bar with a drink as well, while I waited for time to board the plane. I found out only by overhearing another passenger, that there was a menu you could order food from. So, I ordered the chicken strips & tater tots and they were great! No complaints. And the small bottle of wine was perfect for the amount of time I spent there. The person behind the counter was very attentive and his service was great! I just wanted you all to know that you need to ask for a menu to get a real meal there!

I don’t know about the rest of the day but I was there at 5 am and I don’t know what was worse, the food or the service. Next time I will get a snack out of the vending machine…

Alcohol prices are not listed anywhere. When I asked about alcohol prices, the lady at the counter looked visibly annoyed and said “varies” with no other information volunteered. When I asked how much a specific beer was, she looked it up, and loudly sighed when I said I would think about it. I was planning on getting food and a drink, but this experience overall led me to decide against it. I understand that some people have off days, but I had a relatively similar experience with the same person the last time I decided to fly out of GNV.

Believe it or not the restaurant on the pre-gate side of the airport was spectacular. I had the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had, and I was at the airport! The English muffin sausage egg and cheese was as good as any sandwich but I’ve gotten traveling. Maybe was because I was going on vacation, but I have to say is a great start to a great trip. Thank you ladies; that was delicious.

You don’t expect much from airport food, but I guess since it’s the only place in the airport they feel like their quality can be less? The beef melt is pretty much flavorless and dripping in grease. Had to put ketchup on it just to make it taste like something. So much grease the bread was basically mush, onions were barely there, and the cheese was bland. As for the beef, it was essentially grey cardboard. Do not recommend.

I know this is an airport and a small one at that. I do not expect gourmet cuisine at a tiny airport eatery, but what I do expect is that the few items available on the menu will be cooked FRESH. I knew I should not have eaten the breakfast burrito I ordered when it was served 90 seconds later, directly out of the microwave. I had already paid and needed to eat before boarding; and unfortunately did not notice the aftertaste of rancid oil until well into the burrito.

I should have just taken the twelve dollar hit and tossed the thing. The first leg of my trip was marred by an upset stomach and repeatedly belching rancid oil. At my connecting airport, I wolfed down a dry bagel hoping to sop up any remaining rancid grease I had ingested. Mercifully, this proved effective and I was able to take my second flight in peace.

Do yourself a favor and bring granola or an energy bar with you to Gainesville Airport. Flying is annoying enough these days without having to contend with a sour stomach.

Freshly cooked, made to order food. Delicious and the cook (Richard) could not have been any friendlier. This is also the only place I’ve ever eaten inside an airport that was not only great tasting, but reasonably priced. Try them out!

Great food and friendly staff! We pre-ordered for a big group for an early AM flight. It was organized, and the food was fresh. Don’t worry about eating before your flight. You can eat on site for a good price!
