Went for lunch and was a pretty chill vibe. Valet offered down the street. Waiter were nice and attentive. Alligator bites were a hit with the group and was season well. I had the crawfish etoufee. The crawfish in the dish were good, plentiful, and had a lot of meat in them. The etoufee/roux flavor was ok it didn’t hit all the way for me. It did have the right amount of rice and also had a slight spiciness, but not too much. Would go back again

My husband and I came for valentines and had a great time. We did valet because there was no parking. Understandable considering location, valentine’s day and the fact that its a Saturday. There wasn’t that many people when we got there but it picked up quickly and the servers were friendly. We spent just under $100 for the two of us but we did order 1 appetizer ($10), 2 entrees ($14 each), 2 crown & cokes ($9 each) and 2 crown shots($9 each), then they have a 20% gratuity so be prepared for that part. I don’t entirely agree with the mandatory gratuity because sometimes you get crappy service at places. I’ve also not really seen that except for parties of 6 or more at most places I’ve been to.

Came in right after work, 5-7pm and the place was nice and calming environment. The staff was really cheery and happy. My coworkers and i ordered some food and even tho we sat on the rooftop, the food came out delicious and hot. Will have to return to try more menu items.

Say man. Those nachos were amazing. I’m still sitting in the bar writing this. Idk why they aren’t busy. And they don’t skim on the drinks!!!! 10/10

Since when did they start using canned spinach for oysters Rockefeller that’s $40 going down the drain and I got a catfish Poboy It looks like it had came off somebody’s table and they fixed it to go to give it to me. This place used to be so bomb what happened?

When I first moved to Dallas I was turned on to this place by my roommate. I was hooked. Anytime I had friends or family come to visit we came to Dodie’s. The house dressing was a garlic Parmesan that was supposedly made mixing 2 bottled salad dressings together. I thought that was brilliant. Eventually I rented a house a few blocks away. I am certain my subconscious steered me toward Dodie’s. It’s that good. Do yourself a favor. Go eat at Dodie’s. You will not regret it.

The food was great tasting and the service is prompt. I used to go there in the past and the bourbon glazed salmon is one dish that never dissappoints. Also the cajun wings taste amazing. Their drinks are ok, not great but decent and fairly priced. Be aware of the change in menu, the old menu is still available on google, to get to the current one, have to get on their website. A lot of the old dishes like fried calamari or the seared ahi tuna are not included anymore.

i have not been here in over 20 years and i was reminded why when i walked in today at around 3pm. The first stench that hit my nose when i walked in the door was the sour smell of sewer coming from the restroom, that should have been my first clue to turn around and leave. I went to the restroom before sitting down and it was worse and literally made me gag from the smell, that should have been my second clue to turn around and leave. Sat as far away from the restroom as possible. Party of 2, ordered a couple of soft drinks, ordered 2 crawfish etouffees with a 2 Caesar salads, romaine was not fresh, over dressed with something hinting of a Caesar salad dressing, covered with powdered parmesan and small stale croutons from a bag or box.
Crawfish etouffee was just okay, skimpy on ingredients. No bread or anything to go with it. I ordered 1 of each to go, (NY style cheesecake and key lime pie), very small slices for $8.00 each. Sad. Times have changed.

Great ambiance with outdoor seating. Waitstaff is amazing and very attentive. The food was delicious. Gumbo had lots of flavor, but my favorite was the blackened seafood nachos.

Absolutely loved their food! I wish I lived here so I could eat it more often! Great atmosphere, wonderful service, and the Crawfish is absolutely delicious! 10/10 recommend. Also I wouldn’t pay too much mind to the negative reviews because people love to complain about anything.
