We’ve been here about 3 times, first time I tried their albondigas & the last 2 times their caldo de res has been perfect served with toppings, rice and choice of tortilla(s). My bf loves their pork chile de rojo or red chile beef, both so delicious

We’ve been coming to Irma’s Kitchen since 2017, and it’s been consistently outstanding. Irma and her team are always warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind—it’s the kind of place that feels like home.
This morning after church, we stopped in for a quick breakfast burrito. It was massive—plenty for two people to share—and absolutely delicious. The homemade salsa is the real deal, and honestly, everything on the menu is solid.
If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food in a spot with a great vibe, friendly service, and fair prices, Irma’s Kitchen is the place. Her new location has the same charm, just with more room for all the regulars who keep coming back—for good reason.
Highly recommended.

THE HOLY GRAIL of bean & cheese burritos! Every last bite was Heaven. I’ve been coming here since they opened back in the day but this was my first time ordering the bean & cheese burrito. Holy COW it satiated my need for something chewy, gooey, cheesey and filling and omg. I did ask for extra cheese and they delivered. The tortillita is the best kind – made with lard – stretchy and delicious. And Irma’s beans are my favorite around… smooth like refried beans but still with some patial/full beans… the cheese is good quality too. And I loved this with their light colored salsa – the one they serve with chips if you dine in. I was a little sad to spend $8.99 on a bean & cheese burrito, but this was worth it and honestly was so good I would not miss the meat if I could never eat a meat burrito again!
I also got two 32oz (?) sides – rice – I LOVE THEIR RICE, and BEANS! Lol omg this bean tub weighs like 4lb – these were I think $6.95 each.
Thank you Irma!

Found this gem after doing a Google search. The place is small but the stuff were really nice. I got the beef soup, man first of all it was super big..After getting over that, the smell was so tasty, finally got the first taste of soup and I was hooked OK! The veggies was chucky, the meat was tender and the broth was PREFECT! I think rice came with it, man I was in HEAVEN! I Went back a few days later, and again I purchased the beef soup with a grewn chile burrito! You can feed two people or have left overs with them. I think this is my new go to spot when I’m working in the area.

I woke up craving chilaquiles. I found this place in Goggle with great reviews, so we decided to try it. It’s definitely a hole in the wall hidden downtown Phoenix. We walked in and got a pretty cold welcome saying “you can sit anywhere you want.” The place looks very original with messages and signatures from customers written on the walls. Music was very mexican traditional and relaxing.
Prices were very reasonable and worth its price.
We ordered my chilaquiles and huevos rancheros both were excellent the beans were so good, each plate had a great homemade flavor and after Ashley took over as a waitress service chance to were we felt well taken care of with very good and attentive vibe. This will become one of the places we want to come back, but we will say, “Let’s go eat with La Tia Irma.”

The cast of Irma’s Kitchen is amazing. The staff was there for my every need and the food was amazing. I would definitely have everyone of my friends go and check this restaurant as well. I will go there as often as I can. I give a A+ to all of my experiences there.

This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had! From calling to find the new location because my maps showed me the 16th Ave and Roosevelt location to walking out of the restaurant. When I called to ask about the new location, the woman that answered the phone was rude – I asked her if they were open or if they moved locations and she said yes, we moved. I asked her where the new location was and instead of just giving me the new location she asked, “while where are you?” Walking into the restaurant there was no one in there other than two older gentlemen and we weren’t greeted or welcomed. We (4 of us) sat down and were asked for drinks – when I asked what they had our waitress didn’t even provide any options just asked if I wanted a soda in a can or bottle never offering a fountain drink. We got our food and never were offered refills on drinks, checked on whether we were ok or anything. The whole time we were there “Irma’s daughter” was giving us ugly stares from behind the register. One of the plates had eggs on them and when they were transferred to the plate with the rest of the food there was a hair that was under the eggs. The plate of food was not touched after that. It was never questioned either by the waitress if everything was ok. The carne asada bowl that was ordered should’ve come with pico, guac and sour cream and it didn’t have any of that in the bowl. We asked for the sides of them and when we went to pay they were trying to charge us for them and “Irmas daughter” claimed it didn’t come with the bowl and on the menu, it clearly read it did. The plate with the hair – “Irmas daughter” told our waitress that she couldn’t do anything about it because the manager wasn’t there at the time. When we asked to contact Irma all of a sudden they were able to take the plate off the bill. When we went to pay, we had two separate orders – the first order was paid for and “Irmas daughter” told us she had talked to Irma and that we were no longer welcome there (but Irma had stopped in while we were there and was very pleasant and welcoming to us) and told us we needed to leave or she was going to call the cops. I stayed at register to pay my portion as the rest of my party that had already paid was already at the door. “Irmas daughter” was on the phone calling the cops and told them she had a customer that was trying to leave without paying HOWEVER I was at the register the whole time waiting to pay! This was the absolute worst experience!
Sadly I do not recommend this place and will never go back.

I’ve been on a search for delicious authentic mexican breakfast and this place was a home run! My only complaint would be the inconsistent quality between trips. We’ve been there a few times now and the food is always delicious but sometimes it’s just good and other times the food is great. Also, never order their eggs sunny side up, they’re nowhere near cooked enough.
You cant beat their prices though!

I was greeted with the warmest welcome as if I was walking into my own Tia’s home. I ordered the red menudo with toasted bread and a large jamicah to drink. It was all so delicious. The menudo broth was rich full of flavor;chillipods for sure. Lots of tender honeycomb tripe perfectly cook. The corn was also cooked to perfection; no mushy.
Irma is throwing down in the kithen the jimicah was so good and refreshing. Ordered a chorizo, egg and papa burro for my son and he loved it and it was a good size. Don’t pass up Irma’s this place is a keeper! Also, great service!
