Great little diner in a wonderful little town.
I’ve been going here for years and there ownership change fairly recently. Surprisingly though, the food was still really good and I couldn’t complain! The prices did increase slightly but everything has gone up in price.
I got the steak and it was cooked perfectly. I think it was beef sourced from a local farm, but I wasn’t all that impressed with the quality of the beef. It was still excellent for what I paid, but not amazing.
The hash browns were phenomenal and the egg was cooked perfectly as well.
The nostalgia of this place is like going back in time 20 years. Getting up early and grabbing breakfast or a coffee here is a tradition before you head up the mountain to fish, hunt, snowmobile or just pass through this small town. You can’t beat it! Check it out!

Well, it’s consistency, that really matters. And even though the restaurant business is high turnover, sometimes there’s always good food and there’s always good people.
Enjoy your stay in Sanpete county. Whether you’re skiing hunting or family reunion, it’s a great place to grab a cup of coffee or have a family party!

Came for dinner, stayed for the horror movie. A random kid kept creeping out from the back like he was auditioning for The Ring…just stood there staring at my daughters like they were ghosts only he could see. Ordered cranberry juice, got a mysterious red liquid that tasted like regret. As for the “wings,” I think they deep-fried someone’s broken dreams…just puffy chunks of batter. Shoutout to the waiter though. Nicest guy in a restaurant that felt like a fever dream.

First timer here. Ordered the veggie omelette and was happy. My friend had the roast beef, he liked it. Good service, not many people were seated at the time we were there. Food came fast after ordering. Reasonable prices, good menu selection. Clean men’s room. I’d go back again.

Home plate use to be my favorite place to eat but it has gone downhill. I called to tell them that their chicken gnocchi was so salty and hair in my grilled cheese and I was told that there is nothing they could do.. problems like this should be fixed not just brushed under the rug. Waitresses should be taught how to deal with this You are trying to bring customers in not chase them off.

we came here during the afternoon ( around 6:30 ) we ordered, the server seemed nervous and kept forgetting things. we had to remind her for simple things like a steak knife. then comes the bill. they up-charged us because we were not from their town im assuming. up charge as in they charged us $17 for a side of bacon. it was ridiculous for mid to low par food and service. then my entire family got sick from the food back at our hotel.

This is a super cute diner (it’s called cafe, but it’s more like an old time diner). It’s family run and owned and has a really quaint atmosphere. The food was pretty good, sides were a hit or miss, but the pie a la mode was best. I had the triple berry pie and it was fantastic! They have two seating areas, and in my opinion the front room is best as it has tons of windows and a little bar stool area, whereas the back feel a bit more stuffy and darker to me. Overall we had a really good time here as a family and when we’re in town we plan on coming again!

I had a relatively good experience here this evening. The food was adequate. I ordered a breakfast meal, and their ham tasted great, but I didn’t care for the biscuit & gravy. Plus, their service wasn’t great. I say that with the understanding they were short staffed. But everyone was friendly.
Overall, this restaurant is still worth trying.

We went this morning and we were very pleased with everything. Our server was great and the food was equally great. I got blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausage. The pancakes weren’t overly sweet, the eggs were not overcooked and the sausage didn’t taste cheap. My kids had a great experience when they found out that they could pick from a wide variety of cold cereals. It was so nice to be able to get them something that they would for sure eat. I loved how kid friendly the menu was.

Found this place nearby to take my baseball loving friend for breakfast. Even though there’s no baseball decor we didn’t mind because the food was so delicious. I had the Greek omelet with fruit and tomatoes. My friend had steak and eggs. Both were delicious. Service is great. Rae is super sweet and accommodating.
Will definitely be back.
