I had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with the owners Michele and Tommy. They are two of the most amazing people I’ve ever met. They both have a passion for their business and the people they serve. They provide an extremely comfortable atmosphere where you can come in as a stranger and leave as part of their extended family. Myself and my friends were tremendously impressed by the attention they gave each and every individual. No matter who you are, where you come from, or what side of the fence you’re on doesn’t matter. MT Barrel Tasting Room is precisely what my wife and I were seeking in the Phoenix West Valley. The growth in our area, encompassing parts of Glendale, Goodyear, Peoria, and West Phoenix is really remarkable. We are always eager to discover new businesses in our vicinity and are committed to supporting them. Numerous reviews have highlighted the inviting atmosphere of this wine bar, and it’s evident that it’s an ideal spot for families and friends to unwind and socialize.
We decided to stop by this bar on our way home. We were greeted by Louie, one of the employees, and then followed by the owners, Michelle and Tom, who are the inspiration behind the bar’s name.
The Bar employs a self-serve concept for wine and beer. Tom explained the system to us, and it was both intriguing and straightforward to use. We ordered wine and IPA beer, and both were excellent.
We hadn’t planned on staying long but ended up ordering from their delicious menu. We ordered the Tostones Rellenos & Meatballs in a house-made marinara sauce. Both dishes were absolutely fabulous and it was obvious how much love went into preparing them. This place breathes Chicago vibes, has live music, and I’m here for all of it. Michelle prepares the food with meticulous care, and we can’t wait to return for more.
We had an exceptional experience at MT Barrel Tasting Room and highly recommend it. It deserves a perfect score of 5 stars!

We had an amazing time last night at @mtbarreltastingroom . Everything from the vibe, the wine, the food, and the service…it was impeccable. Not only is it a genius concept, but the owner is Puerto Rican, and the recipes are authentic and absolutely delicious. Best Puerto Rican food by far in Arizona, without a doubt. I cannot recommend this place enough. The owners were there and were super personable and kind. They made sure we had a great experience. 10/10

Fun and friendly atmosphere! A variety of wines to taste at the wine station (there is beer, too) and the food is amazing! I was just visiting, but if I lived here, this would definitely be a main hangout with friends. My family and I attended an event with live music and the artist amplified the already relaxing and fun mood. The decor is fun and festive. Michelle and Tommy make you feel like family! You have to check it out!!

This place has a place in my heart forever! I literally didn’t know MT Barrel was new to the business and welcomed me with open arms! I went 1 hour before closing to write in my journal and enjoy a glass a wine, and I am just so happy I had the courage to go in by myself and get to experience this on my own. Both owners Michelle and Tommy were so kind and felt their positive energy and passion right away. Tommy gave me a walk through of how everything works and I was so impressed by how everything was well thought out and seriously can’t wait to go back and enjoy with my friends. I also can’t wait to go back alone, I think this will definitely be my healing spot through this tough time I’m going through right now. Thank you Michelle and Tommy you for you kindness ✨

They not only have a passion for wine and freshly prepared food, but they really want to make you feel at home and foster a community. The quality and freshness of everything was fabulous. We ordered the MTB,for the price, holy cow-what a steal! The board was overflowing with delicious things! We cleaned the whole board The Shortrib and Gorgonzola flatbread was so unique and yummy. They offer mocktails- love that! The atmosphere is unmatched. Lovely, gorgeous, super clean with music playing in the background. Service was superb. I would say the best I’ve had in a long time. Friendly and so helpful! You can tell they really care about your visit and the restaurant. You taste the love in every bite. This is a great place for a celebration, romantic date- even a first date, and girls night out. Highly impressed with everything about this restaurant! We will be recommending ✨

This was my first time to both MT Barrel and to a self-serve wine bar and I loved it! All of the staff was awesome and very helpful with suggestions. The food was also delicious. We each ordered something and all shared. Great for a girls night/double date. We went on a Friday night and they had live music . The band was great and played a lot of 90s covers. My only qualm was that I felt it was too loud for such a small space. I would recommend more folksie/acoustic music instead as it would make for a more inviting space. Other than that, I recommend trying this place! Just maybe not on a live music night. Lol

I had the cubano sandwich which was so delicious. The street corn dip as an appetizer was perfect. The wine selection was fantastic, and the customer service was next-level; friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. You can tell they really care about creating a great atmosphere and memorable experience.
