really enhanced the dish.
My wife and I went here for a date night a few weeks back and had a great time. The ambience is good for a couple going out for a date night with. Lean bathrooms, friendly staff and no wait when we got there. There is a separate wine bar area and you’ll be asked as you walk in the door if you would like a listing of their wines which are extensive but seem to favor napa valley selections that, in my opinion are overpriced for the years offered. Service was great even though we asked to be seated somewhere other than originally placed, and our server was great. This place also offers daily specials which are a rarity anymore. I ended up getting a parmesan encrusted New York strip and my wife ended up getting the vodka pasta and both were excellent. I also ended up getting a mixed drink which was good and a brisket pizza to go.
Overall, this is a great place for date night, and we will be back again.
The drinks were overpriced in the checks. The pricing didn’t seem to match what was on the menu. What was two dollars extra ended up being almost $10 since all of us had ordered that same drink.
On top of that, when an item was comped because the meal was not cooked properly, the gratuity did not adjust accordingly. The dish was undercooked and server did not return at a reasonable time to check on the table. One of us had to take the plate back to a server to address the issue. At the end, we decided not to keep the dish and sent it back without taking one bite. Once we reviewed our checks, it appeared that the tip was still calculated based on the original total before the correction, which felt misleading and unfair.
The food itself was also disappointing. Several dishes arrived cold, as if they had been sitting out before being served. The pizza, in particular, was burnt on the bottom and edges.
Overall, between the pricing concerns, gratuity discrepancy, and poor food quality, this experience did not meet expectations. The location itself is beautiful and has a great atmosphere but the problems we had during our evening gave us a bad impression. I hope the restaurant addresses these issues so future customers have a better experience.
They make great cocktails as well. I typically enjoy their Old Fashioned’s with Makers Mark, but occasionally I’ll venture out into their specials. Right now they have Pomegranate Margaritas and Pomegranate Mules.
I could talk all day about how good the food is, but I would be remiss to not talk about how exceptional every staffer we have met has been.
It’s a great environment. You need to check it out!
The most concerning issue was the billing. Our server, Riley, (also the manager) added an extra $2 to each drink and a $12 gratuity on a $9 drink. She mentioned she knew about the pricing issue but said the system wouldn’t let her fix it. It took multiple attempts to get our bills corrected.
I understand mistakes happen, but overcharging and blaming the system isn’t acceptable. Please review your receipt carefully before paying. If possible i would have put 0 stars.
