My husband had a bagel sandwich and I had a lemon crepe. I don’t like giving bad reviews but both of our breakfast items were stale. We didn’t complain… we just won’t return. We were hoping to like this place… especially with seeing people’s reviews, that led us to believe we’d enjoy our breakfast.

My wife and I stopped for brunch and wow, we found a gem! My wife went to culinary school and gave the crepe a 10. Her bagel sandwich was a 10, my egg wrap was a 10 and they even had mimosas which was great. I’ll be back for sure. Hard to find a place like this in small town Michigan. What a nice surprise.

We visit Chelsea Michigan every fall, to buy apples at Lessor Farms. We wanted to try a different restaurant for lunch. This place was amazing. The food was fresh and delicious. The chicken noodle soup was tasty and not salty. I also had the best scone I have ever had anywhere.!! I wish I didn’t live so far away!!

Zou Zou’s has some really delicious sandwiches on their menu (+ they can all be made with Udi’s Gluten Free Bread, awesome!) Our food was served quickly, and the staff here are really polite/accommodating. Highly recommend Uncle Paul’s Reuben!

This review is based on two visits to this restaurant in the last week; and is being offered both as a customer and as a former dining room and nightclub manager. Their signature crepes (my wife ordered a savory version) were fairly tasty but a little bit too oily for our taste. During both visits the house coffee was decent but brewed a little bit too weak. I do appreciate the available cinnamon, chocolate, half and half, and simple sugar at the coffee station. Their corned beef sandwich is pricey and the portion is quite small. While the corned beef itself is pretty good (and is house made) it is very surprisingly not offered with Dijon mustard which is standard for corned beef sandwiches. There was only plain mustard and honey mustard. Today I ordered the lox and bagel plate which supposedly comes with fruit salad. The lox tasted fine, but the portion was small. I ordered an everything bagel and instead received a plain bagel. There was hardly any cream cheese on the sandwich, and a fruit salad consisted of three or four small pieces of pineapple and a couple of grapes. The quality of the lox and bagel compared to a good Jewish delicatessen was lacking both in quality and size. As evidenced by the very small corned beef sandwich, the very small amount of lox and cream cheese on the bagel, and the quarter size fruit salad, this restaurant is offering quite small portions considering the relatively high menu prices. The person who brought out the food barely spoke a word. When I asked which coffee was brewed most recently, the response was, “I don’t know I just got here,” instead of “I’ll be glad to find out for you.” When I went to use the restroom, the bathroom was dirty and had toilet paper and paper towels strewn on the floor. There was one staff member during our previous visit that said “please do let me know if you need anything else,” which was appreciated. However the two staff members that I interacted with today–the cashier and the young man who brought the food- -did not seem customer focused. This used to be one of our favorite restaurants, but based on the shrinking food size, increasing prices, mediocre to average food quality, less than clean restrooms, relatively weak coffee, and non customer focused customer service, we will not return anytime soon. However, because of their very fine past history, we will probably try the restaurant again in a year or two to see if positive changes have been made.

I love dining at Zou Zou’s! Fries are amazing, some of the best I’ve ever had. I love the bagels and all the drinks! Great place!

Love the food but very disappointed today. All the tables were dirty and some chairs. My husband pointed it out to the server who got very defensive (no apologies) and never did come wipe tables down. A customer actually cleared one of the tables for them.
**Edit- went back today 11/2 and totally different story. Clean, great service and excellent food, although the food has always been very good! Thrilled to see it improved today!

I love this coffee shop!! So delish! The drinks are great! I had gotten their grilled cheese but the cheese was pretty tasteless 🙁 the crepes were great tho!

normally this place has good drinks. went to get a drink and a woman said she didn’t know what to do so she got a guy and said the barista was gone. like 10 minutes later the barista came out and i ordered an iced chai with a shot of espresso. it just tastes like water, no espresso or chai.

Cute cafe with good food, coffee and fresh OJ. Ordered the Huevos Ole’ which was sort of like a breakfast burrito. I asked for turkey but I think they gave me ham or at least cooked it in the same pan because it tasted like ham. It was good but needs more filling like a hash brown or some kind of potato. My friend got the spinach and feta Quiche which she enjoyed because it was a good balance of both flaky and fluffy. They were out of OJ and I was disappointed that they didn’t offer to make me any when I saw them making some for future customers while I was eating. I would have loved a tall glass of fresh squeezed OJ! They oddly don’t have salt and pepper shakers just packets. Strange to get an iced coffee in a plastic cup and a paper straw with a meal that we were having there. No need for the plastic cups, a glass or mug would have sufficed. I’d come here again and hope their business does well.
