I adore this place. I don’t mean to jump the gun, but if I were a local, I’d come here often. The pastries are fantastic; I love the sausage roll. The pies were flakey and flavorful, sadly I only got to try one during my stay, but I hope to come back given the chance. But nonetheless the pie with the steak was nice and savory, which makes me want to try them all. I also got one of their profiteroles and it was the perfect and not overly sweet and airy. I tried a few bites, seeing how the pastries and pie filled me up, but when I finished it later, that dessert held its own. Anyways, I came on the wrong day, let me tell you that. Do not go when there is a big event such as a football game because you will exhaust yourself through parking finding. The parking isn’t super small, but it isn’t big either, some days can be way busier than others. The staff here were nice and helpful when telling me what the recent popular pies were, they do have new ones now and again. They also sell frozen ones you can bring home and enjoy when the time strikes.

What an amazing lunch! First time visiting.

We had the chicken pot pie, Guinness beef, lamb rosemary and a sausage roll. Oh my goodness, that lamb rosemary! Cannot wait to go again…and again.

We also tried two desserts, the profiteroles and the apple turnover. The profiterole was good, but that turnover was delicious!

Parking can be tricky. We got lucky and a spot opened up as we pulled in, otherwise packed.

Enjoy and follow me!

When we walked into the shop, you instantly smelled an enticing aroma of freshly baked pies.

The pies here are a so delicious! The crust is wonderfully flaky and buttery, providing the perfect balance to the rich and savory fillings. Each bite is packed with tender, flavorful meat that melts in your mouth. It’s evident that only the finest ingredients are used, and the love and care put into crafting each pie.

I highly recommend giving this place a try!

Love!!!! Being from South Africa it’s always hard to find home cooking and this place absolutely blew me away! Tastes just like home! I probably bought two of each pie and dessert! Everything tastes fantastic!! My new favourite restaurant!

This place sells only pies, mostly savory and a few dessert pies. The savory pies are mostly with beef fillings. I tried the beef stroganoff pie today and I think it was very good. The pie crust was flaky and not oily. The beef stroganoff filling was well seasoned although a little bit on the salty side for my taste. The mashed pea was interesting, easier to pick up than individual pieces of pea. On the other hand, next time I come here, I would get a second pie which is better value than the two sides.

Super friendly and helpful staff – attentive to the fact I have a fish allergy and were kind enough to double-check that no worcestershire was used in their food. (There isn’t)

The actual Mince pie and sausage rolls are a banger, wife and I are both back at home enjoying some really tasty, homey food now and love it, you guys rock!

EDIT: Nearly forgot the coffee ganache dessert pie. WOW, super coffee flavored, creamy sweet ganache, that one is awesome too, nice

The only savory pie I’ve had before the one’s I’ve had here were from the frozen section of the grocery store. I cannot taint my pallet with these disgusting grocery store pies ever again. I cannot stress enough how superior the pies The Waltzing Kangaroo offers are to any other savory pie I’ve ever had. Literally what dreams are made of! The fillings are superb. The buttery crust compliments each filling perfectly. You have to stop in and eat here!

These pies are just delicious. We ordered a box for the freezer and have enjoyed every single item in it! We will definitely be ordering more.

The beef and pepper gravy, lamb/rosemary, and chicken with white sauce are our favorites. The gravy is decadent, like a savory custard. I love the fact that I can eat them with my hands. The crust is a great balance of flaky and chewy. Bam! Spot on!

This is a great place for meat pies. Their pie of the month is always very creative and tasty! The crust is strong enough that you can break off pieces and eat it with your hands! But it’s still flaky and easy to eat
My favorites are the lamb pie, Madras chicken pie, and the sausage roll.
