This place is amazing. The food is unbelievable, the portions are huge. The staff is extremely polite and the service is excellent. If your in the area this place won’t let you down. They also have a great selection of bar drinks and deserts. Very impressed by the quality of there food. A must if you like authentic food.

Astonishing delicacy in Syosset, NY.
I’m not from the area, I spent the day exploring around Long Island, until it was time for the lunch break which I didn’t put it on my itinerary, and this place was the closest ( with the best reviews as well) to where I was. I trusted my guts and went for it. Surpassed my expectations!!!
Before choosing to go here the mixed cuisine make me hesitant for a second, following the reviews makes me feel intriguing. I followed to read the website and the bio of the chef caught my attention ever more making me go for it.
Place is neat, a nice combination of a cantina in the bar area with the aesthetics of a typical Italian trattoria with the touch of Mexican decorations around the wall.
Server diligent and accommodating. Which was very pleasant to have. Will answer to any questions and request with a smile.
Food took about 20 mins or so to arrive which already gave me a pleasant feeling, it translates as your food being freshly prepared.
I ordered a chicken fajitas which were mouth watering, the tenderness of the chicken and seasoning was delicious. I requested no sour cream or cheese due to dairy allergy. No problems whatsoever to my request.
My friend ordered the stuffed chicken breast, she was obsessed with the flavor and presentation was amazing. ( I didn’t tasted because of my allergies but it looked just perfect)
Couldn’t have any desserts but ordered a espresso, loved it.
Overall a very pleasant experience! Will totally recommend this gem.

We live in the neighborhood and decided to try the drinks and nachos for happy hour. Prices are extremely reasonable and portions are plentiful. The margarita was good as was the Red sangria. our server Myra switched out my sangria for me as I wasn’t too fond of the white one. And she was very sweet about it. We sat outside on the side area which they disguise nicely with plantings, however,you do hear lots of Jackson avenue traffic …but it is what it is

Hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever had, the servers are very attentive, even when they had a full house they were always sure to fill our glasses or take away plates. The tension from the dinner rush was palatable, with a couple big tables.
But double checking to make sure that the table was taken care of was a very welcome addition.
The burrito supreme, was juicy, the enchilada sauce and tomatillo sauce were perfectly balanced, not to spicy, bringing the natural flavors of the two bases.
The beans were a nice neutral side, and the rice was far more pleasent lightly seasoned with some peas and onion.
The desert, for us was were flan and napolian cake.
The napolian was light and fluffy balanced with a wonderful custard.
The flan was a new experience for us, but ended up being a nice change of pace from typical deserts, the odd texture and different taste gave way to a soft sweet and beautiful end experiment.
There’s a lot of talent, and a lot of dedication the Chef and accompanying staff put into the restaurant, if you’re in the area, and enjoy either Mexican or Italian, head down to La Cantina Bay for a wonderful meal.

You must try this family owned restaurant. They have authentic Mexican and wonderful Italian food. Jose and his wonderful family have worked together for years and now his daughter has opened this restaurant La Cantina Bay of Syosset, You will find their food fresh, delicious and many daily specials. They just catered a small gathering I had and it was perfect. I guarantee the best fajitas and chicken parmesan anywhere.

My daughter and I were out for the day and I passed this restaurant and asked if you she wanted to go in and have lunch. I am so glad we did. The food was amazing and more than I could eat. When we entered the restaurant we were greeted by a very nice young man who took us to a table outside. Later the chef came out and we had a lovely chat. I asked if there was a family restaurant in Bayville which I have gone to several times and he said yes. Kudos to the waiter, he was so sweet so attentive and had amazing customer service skills. I found out from the chef that this young man was only working there for about two months. What an asset! If you really want a nice delicious dinner or lunch please try this place.
