1 thing I would suggest (to prevent waist) is 1 more piece of bread or smaller size parfait with the parfait starter, everyone that had it said this and left quite a bit as not enough bread for portion size of parfait. And boyfriend said the same last time we went.
See you next time ✌️
Food was excellent with lots of options not found in places in the surrounding area. Ambience is nice with a nice level of lighting which makes the place feel cosy.
Had the lobster and the octopus carpaccio, both very tasty made with fresh ingredients.
Please note that lobster says tail but actually consists of two tails of substantial size.
Wine list was well chosen for options for all pallets. Overall a lovely place to eat.
I’d definitely recommend a visit.
Lovely little place, attentive staff, nice atmosphere and beautiful food. Would highly recommend for a date night.
From the moment we arrived, the service was warm and attentive. Orders were taken promptly, and the staff were happy to answer any questions about the menu. We all chose savoury crêpes, and none of us were disappointed. As a vegetarian, I had the Eggs Florentine Crêpe, while my friends enjoyed the Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese and Eggs Benedict Crêpes, all beautifully prepared and delicious. While waiting, we shared fresh bread buns with butter and olives, and of course, we toasted with a glass of Prosecco, after all, it wouldn’t be a proper birthday without it!
The highlight was a lovely surprise at the end: one of the staff overheard us mentioning the birthday and, without it being noted on the reservation, brought over an ice cream cup with a candle and even sang Happy Birthday. Such a thoughtful touch that made the day extra special.
If I lived in the area, I’d definitely return, highly recommended for both the food and the exceptional service!
Scallops and smoked duck breast was divine. Bursting with flavour and great texture on both. The lamb chops was a let down for me, but I know it’s hard to execute a dish like that. The crusted herb was too overpowering unfortunately, although I will say the lamb itself was cooked nicely. The prawns had such an amazing lemon garlic sauce that I’ve never tasted anywhere else, and we loved the fact that they gave us an extra prawn. Onto the ribeye and French fries, my oh my that was a beautiful dish that was executed so well – the French fries had such a wonderful crispy texture on it while the interior was still fluffy and the additional seasoning on top was sublime. The steak was cooked beautifully and melted in our mouth. I loved the truffle mash potatoes because it was creamy, light and a hint of truffle throughout the entire mash. My partner really enjoyed the chocolate fondant. I personally loved the Vanilla Crème Brûlée served with caramelised pineapple and coconut ice cream – this was layered really well so you can get one spoonful of everything. I’ve never seen a dessert quite like that and the taste was magnificent especially with the pineapple chunks at the bottom. Highly recommend this place 10/10. We will be back.
It’s the kind of place you want to return to again and again.
