Cool vibe but $6.50 for a bottle of Corona at a dive bar and waited 5+ minutes to be noticed by bartender on a very slow Sunday night. While I sat at the bar.

We were greeted with a warm friendly smile and advised we could have a seat anywhere. We chose to sit on the patio since it was a beautiful day. Our server, Dawn, was very sweet and attentive. She joked with us and made our visit so much fun. The food was ALL so delicious! We started with the Jalapeño poppers which were beyond delicious..they are a MUST TRY! I had the fish and chips. The fish was very lightly battered and lots of it. It wasn’t just a chunk of dough where you can’t find the fish. My husband and brother-in-law shared a medium pizza and finished it all. It was so full of toppings and cooked to perfection. They couldn’t leave any of it We are staying in Tucson for the winter but I would make the 1.5hr drive back to dine here again. Thanks so much for the great visit! Your friends from Canada

The place has a very eclectic atmosphere, the service is top notch and the Food!
I had their Cheesy burger. From the first bite to the last bite it was delicious! The burger was cooked perfectly and the Bun is heaven!
Update 5/09/25
Since I started eating at this establishment in January of 2025. I always find a time to go have lunch there. I’ve tried their Fish basket, the Pizzas, several of the different flavors. I’ve had their wings, their sandwiches and even their smash burger. I haven’t tried a dish that I dont like!
And as always the service is always friendly and consistent, which means very good!

Typically, I am not one for writing reviews, but this time I felt it necessary to share my experience with Raceway Bar and Grill. This is a place my family and I have been coming to for years, this used to be a pretty good place for occasion or just a Saturday night. It’s been a gradual downhill the past couple of years and I heard one of the owners is no longer around which changed their business dramatically. There used to be pool tables and other things that were pretty good for the family to enjoy and relax but they are gone now. Next to that, their food and its cost have taken a turn for the worse. Overpriced is an understatement and quality/size is lacking. I had a simple plate of chicken tenders and fries and I’d never felt so disappointed, it costs around 16 dollars for 4 measly pieces of chicken and a half order of fries. Not only was it small but it wasn’t cooked well either, and the oil must have been pretty old and upset my stomach in the end. My woman had it worse off with her meal and felling sick afterwards. I don’t see myself returning to Raceway anytime soon, nor will I recommend it to anyone. I hope that those who read this saves their dollar to head into town where it is better spent.

If you’d like to see a cool little place off the beaten path tucked way back in there this is the place to go this place is nice it’s a beautiful place great atmosphere great people great service enjoyed stopping there got to see an old sign in the back that brought back great memories of my childhood in Phoenix the Bill Johnson’s Big Apple sign I’m so happy the owners are trying to preserve this sign.

Service was excellent. She was able to upsell me on the brownie even after being full. (It was fantastic)
The pizza was memorable and reminded my family and myself of some of our favorite spots back in northern Illinois without the cold weather.
The tables and booth were comfortable and clean but updates would really dress it up.

I took a friend to eat at Raceway Bar and Grill located at 49237 West Papago Road in Maricopa, Arizona on a Tuesday, just before noon. There is a sign on the door stating, “Please wait to be seated.” After standing there for about a minute, one of the patrons told us that we should just sit down and the server would find us, so we did. The ambience of the place might be described as retro, with a lot of license plates from various states and eras, as well as old signs and various old stuff used as decoration. A server quickly brought us some menus and took our beverage orders. After bringing our beverages, she took our food order. My friend ordered 8 wings and a beer, and I ordered 8 wings, onion rings and a coke. The total bill including tax was $49.64. Our wait time was reasonable and she brought our food hot and fresh. The wings were very good, as were the onion rings. We both enjoyed our meals and will probably visit this place again, even though it seemed pricey for what we got.

This is a little gem in Maricopa. A little of a drive down to Papago but it’s worth it if you visiting family or friends out this way. You will get to see all the farm fields and whatnot. Staff is a bit stretched but the food is stellar. I’ve been here a handful of times and I think you could even bring your grandparents to this place for some of the classic history, even though it has the bar / biker look. Would visit again.

Good food ,good service, but the bartender doesn’t know how to make an old fashioned, there’s plenty of better recipes online. Teryn was a great waitress and knows how to make a great Jack & Diet
