The food was wonderful, even though we went for a seafood buffet and they had discontinued that. The waitress gave myself and aunts ideas and we enjoyed it. Very clean, food was perfectly cooked including my aunt’s steak . The salmon burger won another visit.

Stopped by Magnolia Grille for the 1st time around 4 pm. VERY few patrons in restaurant at this time. NICE salad bar. I ordered the chicken carbonara and my husband ordered the shrimp and grits. Upon receiving our dinners… my Chicken Carbonara had no flavor at all. Tasted like buttered spaghetti. The chicken was so dry … hard to chew it up. My husband’s shrimp and grits were good. I took a bite of them ..they were ok. When our server Brittany asked about our meals… I told her of my tasteless spaghetti and dry chicken. She asked if I wanted them to remake it?? No!! I told her I’d take the shrimp and grits. In about 10 minutes the shrimp and grits were brought out. After a couple bites my mouth was on fire ! Not just a little spicy… but SPICY HOT!! I couldn’t eat it!! My husband enjoys really spicy food…I had him taste it. He said it was HOTTER than his was. I asked for a box to take it home. Maybe my husband can eat it later. NOT FOR ME!! Such a disappointing meal after 2 attempts at entrees! The cost of the dinners were comparable to other restaurants. Update: my husband did eat the shrimp and grits at home. He said there was no consistency in the 2 dishes. His was good at the restaurant. My take home dish was EXTREMELY HOT!!! Would I ever order this again..NO

It was not an impressive first visit. We arrived right around 5pm to what appeared to be an almost empty restaurant , & since we were in a Hurry, we thought this would be a good thing, but it wasn’t. There were 3 of us and only 1 person ordered something that actually had to be cooked. It took 45 minutes to get our food & then at best, it was mediocre. My better half ordered a Brownie to go and few minutes later my step-dad ordered a piece of pie. The pie came out while I was paying, then I had to wait 10 more minutes for the Brownie that was ordered first. The Brownie was big, but just tasted like one out of a box. None of the food we ordered was anything spectacular with the best thing being the Corn Chowder on the salad bar.
The mediocre food would have been OK if the service hadn’t been horrible. But these are things that you only learn by being willing to gamble on a new place.

Burnt, the blooming onion totally burnt, could not even pull a piece off, needed a fork. It was almost black and the waitress took it back and later brought it back to table. She said manager tasted it and said it was not burnt, could not Believe it. Both appetizers were over cooked, the did could not be dipped and had to use a fork to cut the dip and place on your chip. So the manager taste your onion and expects you to take it back. They could have at least removed from bill. There were 5 of us, we will not be back. The manager needs to get re-education on business. Bad experience, lost 5 customers. Waitress was very nice, manager could learn from the waitress.

I dined here a couple of nights ago with my wife and we both got steaks. My wife got the sirloin and I got the prime ribeye, and the steaks were cooked perfectly. The steaks were very bland, there was no seasoning and we ordered them with the garlic butter on them and you could see the butter on the steaks and still had no flavor. The service was top notch but the food was lackluster especially for the price.

This was our first time at Magnolia Grille as we do live an hour outside of the Columbia area but we’ll be back! This trip coincided with a gospel music event held in the area featuring Gold City quartet.
We ordered fried green tomatoes as an appetizer and they were delicious (I prefer them fried cubed rather than sliced but that is uncommon.)
We also ordered the pepper Jack burger- this burger was amazing! I’d rank this burger among the top in the state and should win awards!
Hopefully one day we’ll try the buffet, the $35 price was more than we wanted to pay on this trip but it definitely looked like it was worth a return.

Always great food. I love the cleanliness of the buffet & the restaurant in general. Great service also. We have eaten here many, many times! Sometimes on Sundays it is a wait to be seated, not bad though.

This was our first time at Magnolia Grille. The atmosphere is really nice. I had the blackened fish and grilled shrimp half n half seafood platter and husband had the same but fried. Both were good. The salad bar had a rich variety. The vegetables were fresh and delicious. Now… the fried green tomatoes are the best that I’ve had.
Our server, Nikki, was very sweet and attentive. Her manners were beautiful and timely. We wanted for nothing. When you, visit ask for Nikki! This visit did not disappoint and we will be back!
