I was attending a training program in town and some of my classmates decided to come here for dinner our last night. It appears to be a formal restaurant at first, but it has a very laid back atmosphere. It is attached to a bar as well. I ordered the patty melt with fries. It is one of the best patty melts I’ve ever had. Some of my classmates got steak, and others had sandwiches. Everyone agreed the food was really good. We also ordered desert. The cheesecake was huge and very delicious! After we finished dinner, we walked to the bar. They had a decent selection of drinks including beer. They also have pool tables, shuffle board, darts, corn hole. There’s TVs which play the games going on that night. There’s also an outdoor patio, but I didn’t go out to see it. I would recommend stopping in for some food if you’re in town. Or a drink. I would come here again!

I stop here for a quick meal. I like how the place was set up. Only thing i didn’t like was the service was slow it took around 40 minutes to get my food. The burger i got was the mountain man burger it was good. But what I liked the most was the dessert i got the gluten free lava cake it was very very good. also i like that they have so many options for wine to pick on. And they have a wine store next to the restaurant for you to pick a wine of your preference. Fun fact if you didn’t know they Open this restaurant In 2011.

Few small towns anywhere in the USA can boast such a quality and gourmet experience as Socorro. Bodega can stand its own against Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles…..or any big city for that matter.
I had a 5-Star meal 3 weeks ago and want to report my experience. The staff was excellent, very friendly and willing to accommodate, and the venue itself was just so interesting and well-designed.
I travel through Socorro every few weeks and stay the night because it is approximately half-way on my journey. I have eaten at three other restaurants in town and have only found them average in most respects. Solid food, however nothing on par with Bodega.
I had the filet dinner and was very happy that it exceeded my expectations.The steak that was perfectly done! How often can you say that?
Next month I’ll be back and will order the same meal with all the identical parameters. Check back and I’ll let you know………
EDIT: Still outstanding, Bodega has fully recovered from the Covid Age and has improved on every level. How, you ask? The owner and staff have made it happen. Clear and simple.
Bodega is only open from 4pm to 8pm because they discovered that that was their “sweet spot” and it has worked admirably. Again, I couldn’t resist and had a Boneless Rib Eye that was pure bliss.
Bodega has substantial vegetarian offerings including non-meat burgers so you might still have a tasty meal and glass of wine in Socorro. The wine shop has expanded, too, assisting you with after dinner pleasures back at the ranch.
And WOW, I had not gone into the bar on my previous visit and this time I did which allowed me to see the amazing pool table room and extra seating areas where you can still eat dinner. It was actually quieter in the bar area than the main dining room, too, so I opted to eat at the “Penny Bar” which has 1,000’s of US pennies embedded under the clear surface.

Wow! For such a small town, and limited places to eat that are only open 4-8pm…this is the best spot in town! Rib eye…mouth watering and delicious!
Atmosphere staff and location are tipy top! Can’t miss it! Love this place!

Food and service was really good. If you’re into wine it’s the place to go, but the margaritas and beers are good too. I got the black bean burger and husband got steak. Kids had amazing Mac n cheese.

We visited Bodega Burger Co. & Lounge to see what it was like. Being from out of town, I can honestly say that the next time we’re in Socorro, we WILL DEFINITELY visit Bodega Burger Co. & Lounge again! We walked in with no reservation and we were immediately seated on a busy Friday night. There was a steady stream of customers the entire time we were there, but we did not see anyone having to wait long to be seated. Our server was amazing!!! She was very attentive while never hovering at our table. We spoke with manager “Joel” while there to express how excellent our service was along with how great the food tasted! We asked for a little change to the standard menu items and our server never missed a beat! Our order came out perfect and the taste was awesome! The local green chilis had an excellent flavor on their burger and just really made the taste that much better. Our server provided the list of draft craft beers (yep really!). I selected the La Cumbre Malpais Stout beer, which had excellent flavor. We decided to stop in the bar after dinner for one more drink as well. Service in the dining room as well as the bar were excellent! The bar was definitely busy, but the bartender was attentive and we did not have to wait long for our after dinner drinks.

Food was great. Nice prime rib dinners. Also the daily fish plate was visually appealing and tasty. Server however was inattentive and more focused on his tips from previous tables. Asked for refills and acted like it was a chore. Sorry but that was unexpected.

The food was absolutely perfect…no complaints there. It did take some time, but the place was busy, so that’s understandable. The only reason I gave an average rating is because we had an average server. The guy was rude and impatient. He seemed annoyed that we were there. He said he’d been doing this for a while. I’m assuming he’s burnt out and needs a job change.

My dining companions enjoyed the vegan portabella burger on ciabatta with the zucchini fries. Their chips and salsa are great and it was a treat to have shoestring fries.
The bartender in the lounge was very accommodating to our vegan party of four and helped us find vegan options on the menu.

Surprising find in a small town. The bruschetta scallops on a bed of wild rice with sauteed vegetables was excellent. On par with some of the better big city restaurants. Service was top notch. We’ll be back.
