I ❤️ Banh Mi Ong Beo! I’ve been here 4 times and each time its been spot on! I keep getting the #1 (their most popular one) + the combo drink. #awesome!
I’m sad to read about the low reviews and yeah the atmosphere of the place and the workers is pretty CHILL so I have not minded if my order took longer than usual. Not ideal but I much prefer that to the hectic vibe at a chickfila or cane’s any time!
The sandwich quality (bread, fillers, meats) has been pretty good each time.
The drinks have also been pretty good (I tend to like things sweet). Will come back again when I’m near by! (Next Monday!)

The banh mi itself is already fantastic, but honestly the drinks are the most impressive to me. I’m not a coffee person so I can’t speak to that, but their fruit teas are without exaggeration the best I’ve ever had. There are plenty other places that serve fruit teas, but they’re often syrupy or have so many ingredients you lose any real flavor. The strawberry lime is my personal favorite – I have no idea how they do it but there’s a depth and subtlety to them that I just have never had anywhere else. The drinks come in reusable containers too – they’re not the most robust but I have three or four of them that I still use regularly. One cracked, but point is that you can get several usages out of them as opposed to other places that have single use containers. Their sandwiches also come in recyclable paper bags, which I really appreciate
The sandwiches themselves are also top notch, and very reasonably priced. It’s very convenient for mason students like myself, and I eat here about twice a week at this point. Highly, highly recommended!

Stopped in for the first time today and ordered the #4. While I took my sandwich to go, there are indoor and outdoor seating options. The meatballs were cooked perfectly and seasoned well, and there was a nice ratio of bread to meatballs to vegetables. I’m looking forward to trying more of their sandwiches and drinks in the future. Happy to see a new family owned business doing so well!

This place serves the best Banh Mi I’ve ever had! I got the grilled pork one. The flavors are so authentic, just like in Vietnam. The coffee is amazing too. Highly recommend!!

The combination Banh Mi was almost good. The meat and vegetable tasted fresh. However the sauce and pickle vegetable were overly sweet. It tasted like they sprinkled a spoonful of sugar on top of them. I felt grain of sugar in every bite. Vietnamese coffee could had used more condensed milk. Coffee tasted burn and grainy. The restaurant’s decoration is nice but needs a bit of cleaning. It is not dirty but they clearly do not clean table after customer left.

I love that this place is open at 8:30 AM- it’s the best to have a bahn mi in the morning. Everything was delicious and fresh, the staff were so friendly, and the prices are phenomenal. They have a combo deal where you can get any bahn mi with a coffee or Thai tea for no more than around $12-$13. That’s a steal!
The Thai tea is also one of the better ones in the Fairfax area.
Will be coming here a lot more.

The sandwiches are pretty cheap but AMAZING quality – crispy bread, great flavor and seasonings, fresh taste. And even the most expensive sandwich is just a little over $10. Every banh mi I’ve had here is top quality. My husband has gotten take out here multiple times, but I just recently dined in, and I loved the environment. The staff are sweet and clearly just trying to have a nice business for the community.
Coffee is delicious too, but be warned that it must be pretty high in caffeine. I couldn’t finish my ong beo coffee because it made me feel wired for a good 3 hours, and I’m an avid coffee drinker and caffeine usually doesn’t affect me too much. Would recommend splitting it with a friend.

I wish I didn’t come to this place today. It mostly destroyed my day. I ordered two grilled pork banh mi and 1 Thai tea with boba. The meat was completely so dried and looked like it cooked yesterday. We couldn’t eat it at all, and Thai tea, they gave us the boba even harder than rocks:))) we asked them to get the new one because it was so old and guess what they did. They cooked the old boba with microwave to make it soft. That’s hilarious. I wasted almost $30 . Here is the proof of showing they put my boba cup inside of microwave. I have a no idea with this case.

Just tried this new bánh mì spot in the area and it did not disappoint! The sandwiches were fresh—crispy baguette, flavorful fillings, and perfect balance of veggies and sauces. Their drink menu is great too—refreshing and not overly sweet. The shop has a clean, welcoming vibe and is kid-friendly, which made the visit even better for our family.
