My sister and I stopped in for lunch around 2 PM on a Friday. They have a self-seating system, and we were promptly greeted by a server who provided friendly, attentive service throughout our meal. We ordered a margarita and its blue variation, both of which were refreshing and fun to try.
For our entrees, we went with a ribeye and the hamburger steak…both were cooked to perfection and expertly prepared. We paired these with sides of collard greens, mashed potatoes, and a side salad. All of the sides were delicious, but the mashed potatoes and collards were the standout—homemade and honestly some of the best I’ve had dining out.
The portions were generous, and the pricing was extremely fair. A late lunch with leftovers for dinner reasonably totaled at $66! It was well worth it in every sense. The menu offers a variety of options to satisfy any palate, and we’d definitely return soon.
PS for anyone who may be particular…the AC WORKS in this joint! Great spot to beat the heat.

Great food, amazing service, WOW pricing. Goodfellas is the place to go. It was a great vibe as soon as we walked in. We ordered pimento fritters, fried green beans, and their bourbon sauced traditional wings. The wings were arguably the best we have had here in Lexington. The server suggested the Housemade Teriyaki Sweet Chili Glaze sauce next time and even brought us out a small cup to try. We will definitely do those next time. The fritters came with an Apricot Jalapeño chutney that was out of this world. The fried green beans were perfectly fried and super fresh. For the main course I had the shrimp (10/10) fried okra (15/10) and the COLLARD GREENS (1000/10). My wife got the Philly Cheese Steak (10/10) and the onion rings (10/10). The bill was the best part. A little over $60. The staff was great and even answered questions about ingredients of their food. What an amazing place. We will definitely be back.

This is not a Michelin restaurant and it seems they might be having trouble rounding up enough help, but I’m always surprised at how good the food is and, for the most part, the servers are attentive. The food is always consistent; wings are always top notch, the salad crispy, salmon on point, burgers big and juicy, solid wing chips, prices reasonable.

Wings were cooked to perfection. The ringer burger was juicy and tender. Onion rings with a little drizzle of Carolina gold make the burger at highway 55 find a different road to ride down. Loaded bacon cheese fries were down the hatch and a nice side for the wings. The amount of ranch blows away the calorie counting. Which for my fellow ranch lovers is enough to cover a small child. While the time from seated to menus was at a tortoise pace, the time from order to food was a hare pace. Around 3-5 min to get the menu, about 2-3 to get the food. Overall, I’m pleased with the service.

Food is ok. Onion rings had quite a bit of grease in it. Wings are good. Not cooked too long where it’s really dry. Correct temp. The men’s restroom, trash can lid would not open with the foot pedal, had to grab the lid an can and pry it open. Paper dispenser was not working properly. Supposed to be hand motion activated. Had to pull and it was not easy. Kept ripping with wet fingers as just got done washing hands.

Update: February 24, 2025
Back at Goodfellas and hubby along with me. I photographed his Chicken Fingers and my side salad. I was craving the Buffalo Chicken Wrap, again, so did not take that photo.
Nice crowd. We played some good music on TouchTunes. We got lots of compliments on our selections from the 60′, 70’s, and 80’s — Rock and Roll, of course. If you have not tried Goodfellas, yet, get yourself on over there!

Have been coming to Lexington’s Goodfellas restaurant on US 1 for a few years. Realized I had not posted about it yet. Headed to the bar to catch some of the lunchtime sports on the multiple TV’s throught the room. TouchTunes available here. Like the local casual atmosphere. Nice selection of salads, sandwiches, burgers, wraps, wings, and meat and veg specials. Restaurant has a good-sized bar with bistro tables and booth seating on one side, as well as all dining seating on the other. Today, I started with an appetizer not tried before, Pimento Cheese Fritters with a sweet dipping sauce. A Bloody Mary was the perfect accompaniment with the fritters. These fritters are crispy golden outside and yummy, gooey inside. Really good! The main meal was the Buffalo Chicken Wrap with a side of Collard Greens. The wrap had just the right amount of heat in the Buffalo sauce, covering those juicy slices of fried chicken. I usually do fries or wing chips but opted to squeeze in a vegetable today. Large parking lot.

Earlier this week was the best experience you could ask for. Everything was beyond expectations. However tonight with highest expectations was opposite. Terrible waiter with an even worse hat. The food sucked so bad it was like out of a movie. I wasted $21.35 on a $21.34 bill. Like KFC management this evening. Flip a coin before eating here or going to zaxbys.

I was pretty critical of this place around COVID time. I stopped going bc it didn’t seem worth it but the last 3 times my family and I have gone it has been nothing short of amazing. I always order something different and without fail they nail it. Service can be a little iffy but the staff is staying busy so it’s not laziness.
As far as proximity to my house I have to say this is my favorite restaurant now to eat at! Keep it up y’all.

We just went in and had the pimento cheese fritters tonight. But they were awesome like always. The fried green beans are also good. Every sandwich and burger that I have had there is also excellent. I have been there several times and will continue to go back there.

We stop here every couple of weeks. The beef tips are always on point. Medium rare with gravy, broccoli, and collards…yum. Cold Yuengling drafts. The grilled salmon is excellent. The Philly wrap is one of my wife’s favorites. The wings are good, outstanding teri-hot sauce. Great service as usual. Update…food still delicious. Service great. One major gripe: I haven’t been here in 2022 and had FRESH Yuengling draft 2 visits in a row. Today, the beer was cold but flat. I explained this to the waiter and he relayed my concern to the bartender. She doesn’t have time to change the keg. Precisely the same answer that I received 2 trips ago in September. The draft system should be checked regularly and this is not being done. The bartender was busy but I’m sure that there’s someone else that’s able to switch the keg. Being an experienced drinker, I would be happy to assist.
