The food was amazing. What really got me was that the customer service was outstanding, the food is authentic, no microwave used at all. The beef was delicious, the macaroni was perfect, the rice was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was cozy and quiet yet it smelled delicious with all the different smells. The service altogether was amazing, I definitely recommend this place, you can’t get Hawaiian food like this anywhere. And it was worth every bite

WOW! We have lived here for 4 years and this was the BEST meal we have ever had in JC! Maybe even Manhattan too! I forgot to take a photo before plating but it was absolutely phenomenal. I got the Big Kahuna combo and my husband got the chicken katsu. We also got an order of lumpia and an extra side of Mac salad. We were blown away! Every single item was the best we’ve ever had. The katsu and lumpia had the perfect crunch. The sauces were incredible and all the meat was perfectly cooked! We will definitely be regulars!

Family owned and operated, our orders were taken by the owners polite 12 year old son, and we were served by the Hawaiian-born owner herself. The food was tasty, hot and freshly made. Located in the building that used to house Pusan’s Korean restaurant….the decor hasn’t changed much, but it’s cleaner with Hawaiian music playing. Sadly, the Musubi is only available on Tuesday’s. The cooler case with drinks did not have any Diet versions beside water. The Mac salad just needed a tad more salt. The service was friendly. We will be back!

f you’re looking for authentic islander food, here it is. They sure knows how to cook. Let’s start with the spam musubis – delicious, affordable, and very filling. The chicken Katsu was so flavorful and delicious. The mac salad is what won my heart. On my next visit, I will try their Loco Moco

It is located in the Pusan Restaurant Korean Food in case trying to find it.
Ordered the Loco Moco without egg (aka Hamburger Steak) which was always my favorite in Hawaii because not a egg eater, anyways it comes with two scoops of rice and two burger patties and got mac salad on the side. The burger patty was cooked a little too done, the mac salad was a little bland.
Would go back to try another plate. If you’re wanting misubi they only have it on Tuesdays.
I am guessing this place is newly established, there isn’t much on the inside.

Everyone was so nice. The woman at the front was very friendly and made some great recommendations. I ended up getting the Kahuna plate, which was great! The beef tasted the best, and the macaroni salad was great; I’m not usually a fan of macaroni salad, although this one was good! The atmosphere was nice, the music they played was very soothing.

Aloha live at Pupule Hawaiian BBQ. The food was awesome and I’ve never felt more welcome or at home. They are now a destination for us when we travel through Kansas.

The food was alright, it could be better. The mac salad has a little too much salt. The BBQ chicken and the Kailua pig tasted like it was reheated in the microwave. The pork lumpia with dipping sauce was okay. It took about 20 min to get the food from ordering, which was a little slow. However, this restaurant recently established so it may take a while to improve its efficiency. The inside is nothing special since it feels old-fashioned. Overall, this place is a nice addition to the dining scene of the Junction City/Manhattan, KS area.
