I had an absolutely delightful experience at this Ocean City restaurant chain Matt’s— from the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for something special. The ambience struck the perfect balance between coastal charm and relaxed elegance, making it an ideal spot for both casual lunches and cozy evening dinners.
The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Our host recommended the cold lobster roll, and i am so glad I took her suggestion — it was so fresh, flavorful, and perfect. Easily one of the best I have had.
My cocktail was delicious! The fish and chips were spot on—crispy, golden batter with tender, flaky fish inside.
I really enjoyed the stir-fried Brussels sprouts and string beans, which added a fresh, slightly smoky twist to the meal and balanced out the richness of the seafood.
You can tell the kitchen takes pride in every dish, and the attentive service just rounds out the experience. If you are visiting Ocean City, this spot deserves a top spot on your dining list. Can’t wait to go back!

Great seafood spot in Fenwick. We always stay in north OCMD so it was a quick trip into DE to check this place out. They have a couple other locations.

Stopped in for dinner No reservation and we were sat immediately as a party of 2, meanwhile a party of 6 after us was told 20 min wait. So for larger parties I suggest calling ahead. All of our food was amazing, (except a side of fries, not pictured. Good, just not with the extra money in my opinion) Our server Danielle was phenomenal. She was super helpful and knowledgeable with helping choose what oysters to order and customizing a drink for me. 10/10 for food and service.

Everything about this place was amazing. We sort of just wound up there while on vacation and boy was it a treat. Not only was it the cleanest restaurant I’ve ever been to, but it had some of the best food, too. The Sticky Ikky Chicken is delicious and tender, the crab fries are excellent and the best my mom has ever had, and the clams were the best my dad has ever had! Would definitely come again! Only complaint was that our water didn’t get refilled, but it was no big deal 🙂

Great service! Good atmosphere. We ordered the onion rings for an appetizer and the portion was huge! Oysters were really good as well!
I had the crab cakes and they were mediocre. So disappointing. Something about them was just off. They portion was good but the taste wasn’t.

Matt’s Fish Camp is a wonderful place for casual, yet elevated dining. Never too fancy, but certainly not a dive, either. My wife and I were able to get in without a reservation, and the wait was very reasonable. Matt’s offers a wide selection of entrees, from raw seafood, to fried rice, to burgers. Their draft beer and cocktail selection was also extensive! I will definitely look forward to coming back here.

Matt’s Fish Camp Fenwick: Overall – 9/10 Everything was pretty good. This place is beautiful! I had to ask the lady at the front if it was new or renovated. Definitely recommend upstairs outside, it is a vibe. Service was amazing too.
The Food – 8.5/10: The pork belly was to die for and the size was HUGE! It came with old bay kimchi, weird right? Yup- until you try it. Then it’s amazing.
Burger was okay- but burgers are just burgers in most places.
Oysters were fresh and amazing, and came with lots of classic options for toppings. Shrimp basket was pretty good too.
The Vibes- 10/10: Cute. AC was blasting as it was a hot and sticky day, it felt amazing. The place was so new and clean I literally asked the hostess on my way out if it was a new restaurant.
The Service-10/10: The person who helped us was a kid- which always makes me nervous about if the service will be stellar. Some kids don’t care- it’s just their summer job at the beach. This person was awesome, always on top of it, and made sure we were good. That includes when we were at the annoying table that asked for hot sauce, and this, and that…and she remembered and brought it out quickly.
The Drinks- 9/10: Good but STRONG. I guess that’s a good thing or bad thing depending on the person. I like that, but my fiance was a bit overwhelmed.
They had some special drinks with ingredients from local farms. I was a big fan, it tasted really fresh and not like it was made with flavored syrups or anything.

We ate our dinner at the bar. I had a fantastic Lobster Roll with my PA Lager. Meaty with minimal dressing, as it should be. She had a bowl of the New England Clam Chowder, which was well seasoned. Great service.

Salmon and Catfish dishes were great. Halibut cheeks while cooked great needed more seasoning.
