I miss California food! Clean, delicious, soul satisfying and nutritious. Pancakes? Made only from the best ingredients. Coffee? Brewed with love by folks who understand the deeper meanings of the bean! Every aspect of our meals were tasty and reminded us of how joyful it can be when high quality food is Thee Main Course! In Sherman Oaks – GO to Sweet Butter and enjoy the vibe and delicious food.

Sweet Butter is one of those neighborhood gems that manages to feel both homey and polished at the same time, which is why I keep coming back. The coffee is consistently excellent, strong and smooth, and it pairs perfectly with the sweet side of their menu. The waffles are fluffy and golden, the French toast is rich and satisfying without being heavy, and all of it feels like comfort food done right. For anyone with a sweet tooth, this is one of the best brunch spots in town.
That being said, it is not just about the sweets. Sweet Butter also offers a wide range of healthy options, and they treat those dishes with the same care. The vegetable soup is hearty and flavorful, perfect on a cooler day, and their salads are fresh, crisp, and balanced. I like that you can come here with a group and everyone finds something that fits, whether you want something indulgent or something light and nourishing.
Even when the place is slammed on weekends, the staff keeps things moving smoothly. Service is friendly, management is attentive, and the whole operation feels well run. It is a great brunch destination, but also a solid choice for a weekday lunch. Sweet Butter always delivers, which makes it one of the best all around cafés in the area.

This spot is very aesthetic, fast service, food tastes amazing too! Great for breakfast or brunch! The Chillaquilles were surprisingly authentic, good portion size for all the dishes we tried. I recommend getting the ports with bell peppers and onions as a great side dish to share! Get there early to avoid a long wait!

About a 15 min wait for a table for 4 after ordering on a Saturday lunchtime but it was well worth the wait as food was great. I had the Mia breakfast and the blueberry pancakes were to die for, really light and fluffy.

After driving by this restaurant over the years I had been meaning to try it out. The main older blonde lady who works in the from was so rude from the start and I should have left then but decided to stay to try it out. My fiancée had the steak and egg order and I had their chicken and waffle order and both were mehhh. Definitely a place I won’t be returning too. The only thing that was okay was their matcha.

The most amazing food and service. We had the filet mignon and chicken sandwich’s with side salads and fries. Both were delicious but the Filet was off the hook! Ask for John Mitchell (JM) who runs front of house. Well worth a trip when you’re in Sherman Oaks, won’t disappoint!

First time coming here. Very nice venue. Definitely a place to bring friends and family. I like the ambiance. The staff gets the highest stars for me. Very friendly and accommodating. Parking is a bit hard but i guess that’s everywhere. Definitely will go back.

Came here for a quick bite. The atmosphere was very nice but there was no actual indoor seating. So no AC. I was fine with it but I know others aren’t. The service was truly not good, I felt like I was bothering the staff when asking question. The tomato soup and mimosa were great but the grilled cheese. It was not good. Very slimy and did not taste well. Most likely will not come back here again.

Loved our visit. The breakfast sandwich was delicious – a little more salty than I was expecting between the bacon, egg and cheese but such a rich flavor I loved it. Pancakes were also good – fluffy and the butter was easy to spread / enjoy. Fruit plate probably had the juiciest, sweetest blackberries I could remember.
It was a little pricey, average menu item was like $20, but delicious. Definitely will be back.
