I think Nicaraguan food is generally less seasoned/spiced than other cuisines I prefer, but they do have tasty sauces, so although the fries, plaintain chips, and rice were rather bland, the chili sauce at the table was very nice to use to help that.

My steak churrasco tasted really good with the herby sauce, but the meat was a really tough, thin cut and the regular butter knife I was provided was not very effective. I couldn’t eat about 1/4 of the steak due to the tendons. I know steak prices are crazy right now, but maybe pork or chicken would be a good alternative for a better cut around the same price.

The restaurant uses the big cups for pop, which I always appreciate not having to ask for refills often!

The lobby is obviously still under construction, but do not let that deter you from trying this place. It is an absolute gem and a welcome addition to Waunakee.

Expect authentic Nicaraguan fair. We ordered takeout. I had the pork, and my wife had the fried chicken. The batter on the chicken is awesome. Love the crispy style batter. The plantain chips are great. We will absolutely be back.

Very disappointing experience. We waited over an hour for our food and never even received it, while tables that arrived after us were served with no problem. There was no clear explanation or effort to make things right. If you’re looking for fast service and good food, this is not the place to go. We left hungry and extremely frustrated. Definitely not worth the time or money.

Fantastic Nicaraguan food – especially the beef and pork. Grab a Toña while you’re at it. Service was a bit slow and inattentive but food made up for it

The food was amazing. I’m not sure of the name of the dish. But it was pork with plantains, red beans and rice. And, it also came with a shredded cabbage salad. Great service.

The food was amazing. I can’t wait to go back and try more dishes. We split the Boquita Mixta between 2 people. It probably feeds 3 or 4. It comes with a little bit of everything.

This place has the potential to be a lot more than what it currently is.

Nicaraguan food is not quite as adventurous as other cuisines, but the food here that is cooked is made well and the portions are fair for the price.

What is lacking is the absence of appetizers, and bar friendly foods in general.

Real, authentic Nicaraguan food. What a great experience to have non-diluted foods and beverages from such a passionate group of entrepreneurs. The 2 Guys (Los Dos Cuates) is a work in progress as far as the interior seating and finishes, but it has a clear direction and will be amazing as they grow.

The food; however, is fantastic!! Authentic, generous portions, great variety, and genuinely friendly and warm service. From the included Nicaraguan flag on every entre, to the owner coming to every table to ask for feedback. They are doing all the right things, and the food is right from the heart from where they grew up.

If you’re looking to experience the differences of various Latin foods, and want to see the subtle but amazing differences, this is the place to go.

Future state looks like eventual outdoor seating and a great bar area. Come for the food, and keep coming back as this place is likely to expand and be a genuine hot-spot!

The food is a bit on the pricey side, but worth every penny!
