Started with endive salad , focaccia and a meatball- not just Any meatball- an amazing and deep flavored one! The salad was bursting with flavor ! Nothing was “heavy” but everything full of flavor. !!
The orecchiette is the BOMB
They chop up the burrata and meld it in with the fantastic sauce and scrumptious pasta.
The chicken ad flavor and kick – yum.
We finished with semolina cake – melt in your mouth !
They keep your leftovers with a claim check – wow wheat a great touch ….
Like Arnold said “we’ll be back!!”
The baked ravioli is a must try , the tuna tartar and the crudi was increadible. All the pastas were out of this world , and the wagon steak was Siri super tender and great!
Forvdesert ask for the semolina custard… it was so good we asked for another one to go !
However, I did have one disappointing moment. I found a hair in my drink, which was unexpected and honestly took away from the experience. While the staff kindly replaced the drink, I couldn’t really enjoy the new one after that. It’s something I’ve never experienced before at a restaurant of this caliber.
Highly recommend !
The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, making us feel welcome from the start. Our white wine was great, and we shared some delicious dishes. The duck was super tasty, and the pastas – papardelle and orechiette – were cooked perfectly.
The artichoke was a surprise hit, and the eggplant parmigiana was delicious too. I’d have never thought to pair dark chocolate with eggplant! Genius!
Dessert was the best part. The homemade tiramisu was creamy and just right, and the chocolate dessert was a sweet finish to our night. It felt like a real celebration of good food and good friends.
If you’re looking for a fun Italian dinner in New York with beautiful surroundings and amazing service, this place is definitely worth checking out!
The food presentation is excellent but secondary to the taste of the food. We shared a variety of salads. The pasta was tender and prepared perfectly with the different sauces. Loved the one with the tomato and cheese.
We shared the Branzino which was light and delicious and a pork chop perfectly prepared and exploding with flavor.
Do not even let me get started about the focacia bread and desserts!!
Chef Evelyn also came out and visited our table to check on the food and made us feel so welcomed. These are the little efforts that make going out to a restaurant meaningful and extraordinary!!
Wish we lived closer but will be back every time we visit the Big Apple. We love NY restaurants but Cucina Alba separates itself from other high end italian restaurants we have eaten in NY.
