Great food and cozy vibes!
We had a wonderful Saturday night here with friends. The ambience is rustic and cozy, though it gets very busy—the parking lot was packed!
Our waiter, Joe, was fantastic and provided above-and-beyond service. The Salmon Tartare and Yellowfin Tuna (try it with the forbidden rice) were outstanding. The winter salad was also a hit. Unfortunately, the NY strip was slightly burnt, but the Crème Brûlée and perfect coffee ended the night on a high note. A solid find in Oldwick!

I give two stars because the server tried hard. And someone in the kitchen gave great plate presentation. This place used to used to be the best. It’s mediocre at best. Our server was delightful. Best part of the meal. But she was stressed, and one of maybe two servers on the floor. The place needs a deep, deep cleaning. I get it, it’s an old place, but even old restaurants should and can be cleaned. Even outside, needed cleaning. The meal started with an iced tea, that was sent back because it was bad/sour. Onion rings with more like strings and fried in some sort of dirty low quality oil. Same with the fried chicken sandwich I had. Sitting here with an upset stomach and a headache from what we had, it’s disappointing! Skip it, you are better off eating at home.

Had a lovely meal at the Tewksbury Inn with friends last night. We got seated immediately even though we were early. The little room upstairs where we sat was nice and quiet. Cocktails were very good and all of our food was excellent. The pork chop was the table favorite. We sat at our table for a very long time catching up and were never rushed out the door. 5* all the way. Thank you.

This is usually one of my favorite restaurants. Not today. The potatoes in the potatoe salad were undergone and hard. I wish I had taken a picture of the salmon that was served on my Ceasars salad. I asked for it to be medium rare, and it was dry and way overdone. I gave it a 3 star because of my previous experiences. If I were to rate it on today’s experience, it would have been a 2.

This gem came well recommended for lunch. We ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, chicken burger, and yellowfin tuna wrap which came with fries. The food was above average in flavor and presentation. The tuna was flavorful but I found the wrap to be a bit dry. Nevertheless, the staff were extremely cordial. The restaurant was rather busy with it being a Thursday lunch. I recommend making reservations to ensure a table. I’d love to return to try the dinner menu.

A fantastic restaurant with top quality food, and a great environment. During the summer, the outdoor seating is beautiful and throughout the year, the seating inside is cozy. Staff work very hard and the attention to detail is noticed. Been there many times and never let down.

First time dining here. Drove by several times over the years. Definitely a different vibe here. Feels rustic and colonial. Dining in an historic house is interesting! Went on a Monday night and it was PACKED because wine bottles were 50% off!

The meal and service was very good! I enjoyed my caeser salad, Char entree, and pumpkin cheesecake with cinnamon ice cream on top!

Will definitely return for another good experience like the one I had!

Incredible food and a beautiful historical atmosphere. The service was great and the wine selection is impressive. Definitely save room for the dessert cocktails—they are a must-try!

My wife and I had a date night so we decided to go to the Tewksbury Inn in Tewksbury NJ. Our server, Eric, was outstanding. He knew the menu and also what the bar had in stock and helped us with our drinks. He was personable, easy to talk to, and attentive without being intrusive. My wife had the cream of mushroom soup, which she enjoyed. I had the arugula salad with strawberries and Brie. It was good, could have used a bit more balsamic vinaigrette. She had the steak AU poivre, and I had the strip steak with crispy fingerling potatoes and asparagus. Both were very good. We both shared the dessert special of the evening. Milk chocolate mousse cake with strawberries and a side of ice cream. The mousse cake was a bit dense, but tasty. The atmosphere in the room it was a bit loud. We had two groups of people that were celebrating, that’s fine, a bit loud for a date night. Overall, it was a nice evening, I recommend this restaurant highly.

Every meal has been a wonderful experience whether eating inside or outside. Last visit, I had the shrimp taco’s, and the creme brulee is always a treat that I look forward to. Other favorites are the steamed clams, and the grilled cheese!
