We were staying locally at the Lemp mansion and stepped out for a bite to eat. This place was highly rated! The food was super tasty but the service was okay. That’s okay though! I recommend. Great martinis! You can tell the place is full of rowdy older regulars which we are not LOL.

My wife and I spent a couple of nights in St Louis for our honeymoon back in October. We found dukes as this was the closest place to our Airbnb. We were immediately taken by the friendliness of the staff. The food was excellent as well as a good beer selection. We were made to feel very welcome as English guests and we had some good banter with the staff. Will definitely be back if we are ever in the area. Thanks Dukes!

We went and had a blast. We sat ourselves in this big ol’ booth plastered with Cardinals Memorabilia. The waitress helped us immediately and was on our refills. I got the Bison Burger and it was one of the greatest burgers I’ve ever had. 10/10, I will be back.

Sat at a both at 5:30p on Friday night. They weren’t busy and a bartender came over 20 mins later then got us drinks. She explained they were changing shifts and someone else would be helping us. No problem – we were waiting for friend anyway. Friends showed up 10 mins later and no one ever came over 20-30 mins after that. Right as we were getting ready to go someplace else for dinner a waitress showed up. We decided to stay. Food was good. Pizza, Gumbo, Spicy Chicken Sammie, and bison burger. My friend liked the Gumbo, but it was spicy so look out! The spicy chicken Sammie had the right amount of spice. Once we had a dedicated waitress, everything was great after that. Food came out fast We all had a couple beers and left around 8. It was loud and I’m old. “If it’s too loud, you’re too old!” ((I would expect nothing less from a bar. Used to be a barfly nightly in my 20’s!))

Probably will just stick with the drinks next time. We went post pet parade so it was a little busy but not packed by any means. It took a while to place an order. I ordered a Frisco Melt and fries. As we expected the food took a while. But the food we got was rushed and almost cold. They forgot my fries. I finally got them but they were half done. Friendly door guy and other patrons were a good time.

Not sure how long Duke’s has been around, been going to Soulard for 15+ years and this was my first time after just learning about it. Very cool little bar. Tons of old school adornments, lots of wood work. Feels like an old German bar. Big bar in the middle surround by seating on the edges. Likely not great for large groups. Beer selection was pretty standard.
They did appear to have a shuttle to Blues games.

By far the worst bar I’ve ever been to in my life. The out-of-shape bartender disrespected me and my friends in a way I’ve never experienced before. When we told her the beer was stale, she started swearing at us. We left immediately—glad to get out of a place with such miserable employees. The place was dead on a Friday night, and now I see why.
