The fries, bread, and boneless wings were hard as a rock for whatever reason. My wife couldn’t even eat it. Called left a message, never heard back. Waste of $ and my wife goes without. Would you be happy?

I placed an online order for pickup at the drive through and it was not ready when I arrived so I was advised to park in their waiting spaces. After 15 minutes I went inside and found out the order never came through on their store computer. The store manager tried to be helpful and called someone for assistance, but even with my order number and confirmation, they could not find the order, could not credit my transaction back and could only offer to put the order through again. I chose to leave without my order or any credit, but I will not be a customer of Zaxbys at this location or any other in the future…too many better options in my opinion. I do credit the manager onsite for his effort, but he lacked support from their systems, the offsite person he called and a general lack of best practices was apparent. Chick-Fil-A is only a 1/4 mile away in this case and a very efficient operation. AMENDMENT: the credit authorization on my charge card never came through on my account as a charge. This seems to confirm that the issue I encountered was a failure in the online ordering system so I changed my rating from 1 star to 3 stars. To me, the online ordering mechanism failure is unacceptable, but to be fair, the local Zaxbys was probably not a fault. The manager attempted to resolve the situation, but the issue could have been handled more promptly. I remain committed to NOT using their online system that is unreliable even with an order number, confirmation of the order, etc. I won’t hurry back to this location, but they do not deserve a poor rating for something that was out of their control. Past experience at this location has been acceptable.

Ive lived here my whole life, and have had the worst drive thru service repeatedly here. I don’t never, ever do reviews. But this is my 3rd unfortunately for this store. However I don’t blame the employees.

March 12, 2025 (Wednesday just before noon) – If anyone knows me personally, they should know that Zaxby’s is literally a drug for me, and I could eat the food 14 times a week. I usually go to this location’s drive-thru for a quick bite on the go. That’s how I run things. This has become my dominant location ever since the East Asheville location was destroyed by Hurricane Helene.

This time, I actually had time to sit down and enjoy a full meal as I finished class 1 hour early. I got the ZaxSeas Surf & Turf Box and quite literally devoured every bite. Anyone that knows me would know that I MUST get the actual best thing: a side order of egg rolls. This is enough to give Pagoda, Tai Pei, and P.F. Chang’s a bad name.

Everything was perfect. However, It did scare me a bit when some guy posing as a health inspector showed up. I just wanted to let you know.

Food has always been good. We were recently fooled by the quesadilla photo in their App. When I came back to ask why we had gotten 3 instead of 4 like their photo, the mgr. said they had cut it into 3 pcs. Instead of 4. ???

We stopped here about 4:30 pm on a Monday. There was NO ONE in the dining room and the drive thru was not super busy. FIRST of all, they changed the menu so in order to get the Signature Club you have to pay EXTRA to get the Club toppings so now all the sandwiches are basically the same except for the sauces which is idiotic. On top of that, I feel like we were overcharged for our food as a “punishment” for the fact that Asheville has no water due to the hurricane…almost a form of price gouging. They charged us a dollar for a WARM canned drink even though a drink is INCLUDED in the meal price. If they are doing that they should have changed the menu to reflect that. The menu board showed $9.29 for the meals we got and we were charged $10.29. When we asked the “manager” why this happened since we already PAY for a drink in the meal price she said “The drinks are $1.00”. I asked why when drinks are included in the price and she “Well we don’t HAVE fountain drinks”. I told her we felt overcharged because we PAID for a drink in the meal price and it’s not our fault there’s no water plus the drinks they CHARGED us for were warm and we couldn’t even drink them. She said “It’s not our fault either”. She was very unprofessional. There were NO signs posted about the charge for a canned drink. Other fast food restaurants we visited since the hurricane GAVE a drink to replace to one included in their meal. Additionally, we ordered a Kickin Chicken meal that came out UNTOASTED with almost ZERO sauce on it. We will not be stopping at any Zaxby’s in the future. We would have gotten better food at a better value in any number of REAL restaurants without shady practices like this. All I can say is watch your receipts and hope for a better manager if you stop in.

Got rip off my fries was only half an order my coleslaw was one spoon not even half full. Very expensive price for half the food. Our zaxby’s got flooded and we sure do miss it. But I want be going back to this one! I went thru the drive thru and they wasn’t busy!

Food is good, but when I place an order, the employee rushes me to take it and shows very bad body language, like they’re gonna fight me for asking for more sauce. I won’t be back to this location.
