The food here is absolutely delicious! I’ve never had naan this good before, it was warm, fluffy, and so tasty. The samosas were packed with flavor and just as delicious. The chicken tikka masala leaned more on the savory side (some places make it sweeter), but it was still excellent. What really stood out to me was the customer service. Everyone was so kind, friendly, and genuinely caring, it made the whole experience even better. My only critique is how hot it was inside, I was sweating so much, but the food was still worth it.

Portions are awesome and they try to make Fresh food. Keep up the good work Master chef Balkrishan is very courteous and knowledgeable about all the cooking and recipes. He tries to accommodate all the requests of customers and wait time is slowly improving. Good for palate and pocketbooks as I saw many Duke students and general patrons. There’s room for growth.

I’ve ordered from Saffron Indian Café many times, and the food is always delicious, consistent, flavorful, and freshly made. I finally stopped by in person for the first time yesterday, and it was even better! The chef personally came out to ask how we liked the food, which really showed how much they care about their guests. Excellent service, a welcoming atmosphere, and the same amazing flavors I’ve come to love.

One of the best biryanis I’ve had in a long time. I come here often with friends, and being away from home, it’s become my go-to spot for quality Indian food. The staff are warm and friendly, and the overall atmosphere is great. If your are in the Durham or Duke area this is one of the best places to get quality Indian food!

First time visit: The workers really wanted to make sure we chose food my boyfriend and I would be happy with, offering suggestions and explaining what vegetarian options are available. We both fell in love with the samosa chaat. Everything on our plates quickly started disappearing by the time I thought to take pictures. The staff had also given us these complementary pudding cups (sorry I forget the name!) before we left.
We came for the food and will be coming back on our next trip to Durham because their service went above and beyond!!! If you are looking for Indian food in Durham, this place is perfect for ya!
