Been coming here for years and have always loved the food, drink, atmosphere and occasional takeout. Though last night my husband and I got take out, I got the open face turkey dinner which is usually awesome, but this time there were straight up cigarette ashes in/on my food, I don’t know how?? But it was definitely cigarette ashes. Neither my husband or I smoke. Not sure if the cooks are sneaking cigarettes into the kitchen or whatever but this was a huge turn off to say the least. I’ll probably still come here for drinks from the bar like we do from time to time but I won’t be ordering their food anymore.

Coop’s is consistently one of the better spots you can go for dine-in or takeout in Quincy! They offer the NFL Sunday ticket and broadcast all of the games on Sunday’s, which is a big win for anyone looking to watch their favorite team outside of New England. The popcorn is always a treat right before you order, and their appetizers are truly exceptional. The wings are amazing, and the Clam Chowder Bread Bowl is delicious! They even have a Chicken Parm Bread Bowl which I had never had before Coop’s, but is simply amazing as well. Their steak tips are some of the best I’ve had, and the turkey tips are light and flavorful. Their chicken sandwich is amazing, and without going through their whole menu, there hasn’t been one thing I have tried that I didn’t like. The service is always friendly and positive, (Grace is simply amazing), and the atmosphere is very welcoming, and enjoyable. If you’re looking to watch a game, grab fresh food or drinks, or just go hang out and enjoy the company of friendly staff and people, you can’t go wrong with Coop’s!

The service at this bar / restaurant was very friendly and efficient. The food was great. I had the blackened pork chops with mash and butternut squash and it was to die for. I have never seen pork chops so huge but me coming from England, that’s not surprising.

Food & drinks were okay. Our waitress Kelli had only been their for two weeks and was struggling to stay on track I guess you could say. We ordered a mixed drink and a beer, and the drink came out completely wrong. I’ve been drinking them for over 10 years, it’s my favorite drink and I could tell off the first sip it had been made with another juice and liquor. She apologized said she’s new and made me another one after I explained to her what the drink consistent of. After that we ordered two dinners, one of the dinners was wrong when we got it. Instead of sending it back we just told her about the mistake and decided to shared our dinners and delt with it. After dinner we felt like ordering two more drinks. Well, she forgot one drink after asking what kind of tequila he wanted in his Long Island… and brought him out another beer. So we said nothing and decided to leave after that happen. I came to Coops over 10 years ago when I turned 21, and even though I’ve lived in Quincy my whole life, this was only my second time here, and it wasn’t the greatest experience. I’ve been a waitress before, and a hostess, and a bus person, and I can understand with being new and learning as you go, but that’s why you have note pads as waitresses..to write down what people say so you don’t forget. She seemed nice and was apologizing to us, but I would probably suggest her getting another job unfortunately. We most likely will give it another shot, hopefully it will be better next time around.

Nice selection of beers and great pub food. My favorite is the steak and cheese sandwich. Today we got the buffalo chicken dip for an appetizer to go with our sandwiches. It was delicious! Inexpensive place and they have keno if you like to play. Friendly staff and plenty of televisions for easy viewing. They have some outdoor seating available also.

Country Fried Chicken was very well made, and the accompanying sauce was somehow even better.
Steak tips are very good too. Really do not understand the male Karen’s 1 star below me, the chicken was superb.

Best steak tips EVER!!! Best butternut squash EVER!!! My daughter had tips with the best mashed potatoes EVER! The special side dish was brussel sprouts n bacon…so good!

Coop’s is a Quincy “Must Eat At” restaurant. Regulars rule here so it is best to hit early for lunch or late afternoon for dinner. The Bar is the focal point and getting a seat is sometimes hard. Maria is the main bartender and she can handle the busiest days and you are never waiting for a refill. Today I enjoyed one of the Dinner specials. A fried chicken Bowl with fried chicken, mashed potatoes, corn and Gravy. The portion was so generous I had dinner and lunch for tomorrow. You will not leave here hungry. One of the best draft Beer selections in Quincy that is always fresh. Everything is very good here and the Best Burger in town. Also if your looking for a after work place to go the dining room can accommodate large groups.
