We stopped for a late lunch on our way to Atlanta. From the second we walked into Stars BBQ until we left, the staff was welcoming, even the other diners were polite and greeted us with smiles and, “How are you?” Whether they were a teen, middle aged or retirees! What ambassadors for Evergreen. Now for the food – We ordered two Philly Cheeses tears with five wings and sides. one of us had onion rings, the other sweet potato fries. both made in-house. The server brought them to us with an expectant smile, and wait waited to see us open our boxes, she was so happy to serve us our food — she truly was proud to work at STARS and of their food. She was a joy. The food was delicious, too. The wings were crisp, juicy and tender. The sandwiches burst with flavor. We will stop through Evergreen again just for this BBQ restaurant! The unsweetened tea tastes freshly brewed. The bathrooms were clean. There is outdoor dining, and plenty of seating. So good in every way possible!

My mom & I took a road trip from Mississippi to the town of Evergreen. We decided to try Star’s BBQ because of the ratings and it did not disappoint! We couldn’t pick one thing from our plates to complain about even if we wanted to. We had chopped pork, ribs, baked beans, onion rings & fried okra. Everyone in there was friendly, it was like walking into a place back home where no one is strangers. I’d definitely recommend trying them out if you’re in Evergreen forget the chain foods and eat local!

Best BBQ I’ve had in a LONG time. Their Mac n cheese was on point, the baked beans were great, the pasta salad and fried okra were good too. 100% would recommend to anyone!

My husband, mother in law, father in law, and I all came here on our way home from the beach a few months ago. Walking in you can tell just how much this family loved Star and continue to run this business in her honor. My mother in law and husband both got chicken and absolutely loved it. All of the sides we got were delicious as well. The staff were friendly and I would definitely go back! If you have time to swing by, give them a chance! They’re food is great.

If you want a dirty metal gritty burger half done you picked the right place if you want to throw money away you are at the right place. Next time I’ll save my money and eat out the garbage can same quality. The sad part is I was the only one there and it would have taken what a few minutes at the most to clean the grill and no I don’t want anymore but thank God I had the forethought to save it and I am having it tested you can’t let people play with your life and health.

My mom and I stopped here for quick food in our roadtrip down I-65, and OMG THE RIBS ARE AMAZING. We ordered at the window outside and got our food in five minutes, and they’re smoked to absolute perfection and fall off the bone. The flavor is incredible and 100% recommend. If you don’t know what to get here, just get the ribs and you will not be disappointed
