Now a Seattle coffee institution, Caffe Ladro opened our first location on Upper Queen Anne in 1994. People ask about the company name origin. Caffe Ladro is Italian for coffee thief. When we opened up right next to Starbucks, we intended to pinch their customers with the best Seattle coffee and staff we could find. Caffe Ladro in Bothell, just east of the Bothell-Everett Highway and across the street from the Anderson School fuels area residents and commuters with excellent coffee, house-made pastries, and sustainably and ethically produced coffee. If you’re in Bothell, we’re likely the best coffee near you. We source our beans directly when possible, and roast our blends and micro-lots at our Seattle Queen Anne facility.
Contemporary local coffeehouse chain featuring sustainable beans, plus pastries & other baked goods.

Whom ever prepared my my drink = D-
Whom ever handed me my items = A+
Hard to truly rate as three people were involved. Paid $14 for disappointment and burnt my tongue. As “not too hot” was my main request and “NTH” was also written big on the cup.
It does get busy at certain times, but I think it’s worth the wait. The prices are high I will say, although I definitely prefer Ladro coffee over anything I make at home! I see a lot of the same people come in every week, and my grandpa has been coming here for years and years so they must be doing something right!
Keep up the good work Bothell!
The past two times I’ve come here, the espresso has been actually undrinkable levels of burnt and bitter. That was the case today, so I very politely asked for my latte to be remade, and the barista was so openly rude about it. Sighing, demanding to know “what EXACTLY” was wrong with it like I was making it up, arguing with me about it when another customer in front of me asked for THEIR drink to be remade and he didn’t give her any attitude. I had to be like ‘do YOU want to taste it then?’ for him to actually remake it. He could’ve just pulled another latte in the time he spent arguing with me about it.
I drove here to have a nice work session, and instead left feeling like I’d done something wrong by asking for a drinkable $10 coffee. The barista’s behavior genuinely ruined my morning.
I don’t expect groveling when something goes wrong, I just expect basic respect. I expect ‘okay cool I’ll make you a fresh one’ and that’s it. Like I wasn’t being rude or unreasonable for asking for my $10 coffee to not taste bad. This used to be a go-to spot for me, but I won’t be coming back.
Oh and the remade coffee was good. so it’s not like you CAN’T do it.
As others have said, the cost is rather steep so this is not something I would do on a frequent basis but I enjoy it when I’m in the area.
