From the moment we walked in, everything felt welcoming and well organized. We were seated immediately and greeted with genuine smiles. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and happy to accommodate our requests. The food was absolutely delicious, and the menu offered a wonderful selection for both breakfast and lunch. Friendly staff but the place needs some work. Floors were sticky, paint peeling, water stains on ceiling and light fixtures were dusty.
Prices seemed kind of high for breakfast items. We tried their Two by Four, Real Texas Omelette and the Texas Combo.
I really like how their hash browns are crispy. The Texas Omelette was also good. Not overly cheesy like most places. Eggs, bacon, sausage and pancakes….not much to say.

This restaurant has a charming and inviting atmosphere that makes for a lovely dining experience. While the breakfast menu is somewhat limited, the selections available are well-curated and thoughtfully prepared. We ordered the sampler plate, and each item was flavorful and well-executed. The staff was attentive and accommodating, kindly holding our pancakes until we finished our main dishes. When served, the pancakes had a great flavor, though the texture seemed slightly undercooked. Overall, this was our first visit, and we were pleased with the experience. It’s a delightful spot worth visiting for a cozy breakfast and friendly service.

Our decision to grab breakfast at Real Texas Cafe while picking up family from the airport Sunday morning left us with a mixed impression. In summary, it was just an okay experience.
Our breakfast orders spanned a variety of items. The omelet was decent, and the French toast, while not terrible, was a bit undercooked, leaving a lingering taste of egg. We also ordered eggs over easy and poached, but both orders arrived undercooked, as if the grill hadn’t quite heated up enough to cook them properly.
However, if there’s one thing that stood out, it was the biscuits. They were exceptional, so good that I’d contemplate returning solely for them. Unfortunately, the gravy accompanying them was disappointingly watery. The fried pork chops lacked flavor, as did the potatoes.
In an unconventional breakfast move, I decided to indulge in pie and ordered a slice of coconut cream pie, which we all shared. It had a pronounced coconut flavor, which was a plus, and the texture was thick and nearly creamy. Members of our group described it as “good” and “decent,” so it’s a matter of personal preference.
Our server was friendly and attentive until he handed us the bill, after which he didn’t return, leaving us to pay with cash to expedite our departure.
In the grand scheme of things, Real Texas Cafe was just okay. Whether I would recommend dining here and reaching into your wallet depends on your expectations. For me, I won’t be making a return visit, as there are significantly better cafes and diners in the DFW area that offer a more satisfying breakfast experience.

A meal here is going to set you back about $20. The main entree comes with two sides bread and a salad. You can either have a dinner roll. You also have the option of ordering breakfast. On this outing I got chicken fried chicken with spinach, corn and cornbread. It wasn’t the best I’ve ever had & it did the trick, no complaints.
My server was great, her name was Jessica and she did a fantastic job! There were about 8 customers between two people which they could have used a little more help as the place was getting busier when I left. I’d say they were a little understaffed. I didn’t have to wait too long for my food, it came out pretty quick and was hot, just the way it should be.
It’s a neat little cafe with some Texas style and they didn’t go overboard decorating, the place is very simple. The interior design looks newly updated and still pretty fresh.
One part of the decor not to overlook is the refrigerator for their pies if you want one to go.

Delightful breakfast place. (Haven’t tried lunch yet, but the after-church crowd loves it). Breakfast all day. Eggs are nice and buttery. Light fluffy pancakes. Meats (bacon & sausage tasty & lean. Nithing is salty! Yum Super sweet cute waitress, all service rapid. Food warm. Added a to-go meal, and it was also a perfect omelette. We’ll go more often!
