Have you been to Archie’s? If you live anywhere near Sioux City, or are passing through Sioux City, you need to check out Archie’s Diner. It is only open Saturdays and Sundays 9am – 2pm and pretty sure it’s cash only.
There are a few things you’ll need to understand before choosing Archie’s. This is a funky, classic old Airstream Diner. You’ll park on the street and walk up a few stairs. You’ll get great food, made fresh. You’ll get friendly service. You might be getting your own coffee refill and while you’re at it you may as well refill the other patron’s cups too! They’ll appreciate it. I’ve seen some regulars make a fresh pot when needed.
The person taking your order also cooks your food, takes your payment and busses the table. It’s a friendly gesture if you bus your own table. If you’re not open to doing all that, it’s ok, go somewhere else. If you’re up for one of the most unique dining experiences in Siouxland, then amble on in to Archie’s.

Prepare to spend more than an hour here. Food takes a lot of time because Lori is in charge of everything. We love this place. This place is an old school classic diner that is stuck in the past, and that is a great great thing.

Great place to eat. You grab your own drinks and just chillax while the food is being made. If your impatient dont come here because you could be waiting 30 minutes for your food but trust me its worth it. Food is hand made.

What a great classic diner, well worth the visit. The food is delicious but the atmosphere is why you should come. It’s only open on the weekends till 2:30 and I think they only take cash.
