Bakery is a small place with local beef from the cattle Ranches. Everything is locally grown and hand baked . i had the best Ruben on homemade dark moist bread. Served with a side of potatoes very tasty. I had to try the blueberry pastry light and fluffy in a crisp cheesecake pastry so good. Next visit we will get there earlier to enjoy the locals that visit daily.

Went on a fall cruise with my car group to Guffey and we heard they had a restaurant open now. As 40+ BMWs with their drivers/passengers descended on this place like a swarm of hungry locusts, we weren’t sure WHAT to expect!
After taking up every square inch of possible parking area in the lot, a long the road and anywhere we could find, we were greeted with a very welcoming scene.
The restaurant was good size, there were vendors set up outside selling different items, even a (shout-out) cool lady outside roasting chilis! Super-nice people and everyone did their best to accommodate the motoring-mob! The layout inside was a little tight as it wasn’t made to handle a mob this size (definitely the exception, not the rule). Surprisingly, there were plenty of places to sit inside and outside.
Here’s most important part from the outset; do NOT let the name of this place fool you. Yes, they have incredible sweet treats, but flip the menu over… They also make a host of excellent dishes! It took a little while for them to catch up to all the orders
placed but they NEVER complained or acted put-out. It was like they welcomed the opportunity to show off what they did and were generally happy to make sure everyone was taken care of.
It was kind of interesting to learn about the restaurant, the farm, the products, produce, even the super-chill dog they had roaming around. Oh, the other thing; their food prep is transparent, out in the open. Not behind closed doors where you don’t have any idea how your food is being handled.
This review is kind of long-winded but suffice to say, take a relaxing drive out Guffey way and stop in The Bakery and visit. I think you’ll find something to make everyone happy.
I hope it is there a LONG time as a nice destination lunch stop and remember, when you are there relax; you are on Guffey time…

We came to Guffy for a retreat and I saw they had a bakery. I love to stop at any local bakeries when we leave town. This was definitely a great decision! The food was amazing, they were having a live band this day to raise money for their community garden. They made breakfast and lunch fajitas (my husband said they were amazing!!). I got a lemon turnover and it was flaky and gooey in all the right places. Then I got the added bonus of fresh out of the oven raspberry/rhubarb, blueberry, and rhubarb Danish. An unexpected treat and if you’ve never had fresh Danish like that, you need to. The atmosphere was great, Had a lovely conversation with some locals and it was just so welcoming and friendly.

Super friendly people and amazing baked goods! Off the beaten path in a small mountain town. The meals are incredible. Not a lot of seating. The restroom had a shower in it, thought that was interesting. They periodically have special events where they serve alcohol. This is a must visit if you’re driving through Guffey.

Food is wonderful, company even better. We were greeted by Hershey at the door. Butterscotch assisted after getting up from his nap. Dana is super friendly. We sat there for hours talking to Dana and the people who came in to eat. It was a fun experience that you don’t find very often anymore.

To call this place a gem is an understatement. The food, baked goods AND coffee was great! Stopped here while traveling by and we were treated like family not only by the employees but also the customers too. If you are in the Guffey area stop here!! You won’t regret it.

What a gem!!! I wish we had this bakery in my town! Warm & friendly atmosphere with wonderful all homemade food. The waffles were so good! The whole breakfast buffet was amazing! Like eating at your grandparents house with food all made from scratch. The biscuits & gravy ❤️ The coffee ❤️ Hershey the dog sleeping at my feet ❤️ and Dana & Stacy the owners were friendly & warm. Dana and Stacey are always attentive and pleasant! Should you feel they don’t have your attention, speak up like a normal human being! They have never ignored anyone that I have seen, the pastries are always great and we’ve never had a bad meal here since food is always fresh and delicious.
