I just left this “restaurant” .. absolutely disgusted with my meal. How do you mess up rice and peas??? The rice was mushy, plain white rice with red beans thrown in -no flavor no seasoning whatsoever. The ox tails were uncleaned, overcooked and also-no flavor. The jerked chicken was a bland, par boiled mess. The mac and cheese was over cooked, mushy and just awful. The cabbage -idk how you can make a bland vegetable worse-but they did! Over cooked again. And the “candied yams” were straight out of a can- several days ago judging by the brown color. $50+ for something that went straight into the trashcan. I wish I could give ZERO STARS. Call yourself a Rasta? smh.. Guh suk ya Mamma!

I just went to this place and I ordered a veggie patty and chicken patty with coco bread. The cashier said five minutes. I think they forgot my order so my niece went and inquired about it and she told me they were out of veggie patties apparently they gave the patty to someone else. The cashier offered no solution and was rude. First I asked for a refund and she was like “ oh you want a refund? “ I said well you can offer me another patty? She was just like I don’t want to be here. This is why I patronize other places because I am black and careful where I spend my money and I will not be going back to this establishment.

I got the Rasta Pasta: Chicken & Shrimp for 23.50, though it was pretty expensive for my liking, it was nice and spicy! Loved the lady working there and the gentleman’s cooking was superb, especially for that dish.

Should have read the reviews first. Ordered curry goat beef with yams and rice. I got curry chicken (2 chicken thigh pops) and cabbage. Rice was bloated and gross. Didn’t want cabbage or chicken on the bone. It wasn’t good, spicy, or worth $21.

Starting with the good stuff, the nice girl up front with a voice like Michel’le gets a big thumbs up for awesome customer service – a solid five stars!

I’m talking dove off a cliff.
The jerk shrimp didn’t have much flavor, was extremely watered down and seriously, just four pieces of shrimp?
The yams were seasoned with water. Yes you read that right! – We’re talking ZERO flavor.
Then, there’s the rice, & beans. They were, lacking in seasoning and also super dry.
Let me not forget about the greens. My 8th grade lunch Lady made better greens.
Sadly, I can’t say this place is a go-to for real Jamaican food vibes.
Seriously the owner(s) should be ashamed of themselves for presenting this to the public.
For a taste that’s more legit, you might wanna check out Ire Ting in Richmond – they know how to bring the Jamaican flavors to life!

This place needs to be closed down. I wish I would’ve read the reviews prior to going. The prices are ungodly. This food is not authentic Jamaican food. I ordered the jerk pasta however I got baked ziti noodles with a bunch of vegetables and peppers with spice and it seem like a soup, please see the picture and then my daughter got oxtails rice and peas and cabbage all of that was $38. I should’ve known the food wasn’t gonna be good when she tied that bag as tight as she did, it’s only been about 40 minutes since my daughter’s eating now she’s saying she’s feeling like she’s gonna throw up. She had oxtail she’s young and greedy and ate a few bites and I told her they didn’t smell right I do not recommend this place

I ordered curry goat, cabbage and yams. My kid ordered curry chicken and rice. Both dishes were flavorful and fresh. The goat had a small amount of bones and there was lots of flavorful meat. I’ve never had goat without a few bones because it makes it more flavorful, so a couple bones didn’t surprise me. The portions were generous and the staff is friendly!

The rice taste like minute rice that was cooked for 10min..cabbage was soft and nasty, no flavor whatsoever! This is not authentic Jamaican food and they ought to be ashamed of themselves for serving this mess.. Carena’s, Queens, Irie Ting WOULD NEVA serve this! I would give my money to one of the Asian spots in the mall before they get another penny from me.. no love is being cooked into their food they just threw some mess together and set it out to be sold!!
