Came here with my partner for Valentine’s Day dinner. We made a reservation in advance knowing this place would be in demand. The food was excellent — there was a prix-fixe menu for Valentine’s Day: four courses for $85/person. We both had the butternut squash soup (first course) and salmon (third course). For the second course we had the pate and escargot, and for dessert, cheesecake and creme brulee. Everything was delicious and filling! My salmon skin was a little more charred than my partner’s but not a big deal. I also had a Moscow mule which was perfect.

The service staff were friendly and attentive, although it was quite a hectic night and there might have been a mix-up in the kitchen about course order — understandable for a busy holiday. Nonetheless, a shout-out to McKenna and Kevin who took great care of us and made sure we had everything we needed and reacted to the mix-ups with grace under pressure.

It’s also a beautiful two-storey space — cosy and romantic, aptly exuding mid-20th century French vibes, complete with an impressive Art Deco-style bar. Perfect for an intimate Valentine’s Day evening. We’ll definitely be back!

My friend took me here on an Friday night. We started with oysters which were so delicious and fresh. I could have eaten more! I got a Caesar salad with chicken. I thought it was ok, I didn’t the chicken as much though unfortunately. I think it was dark meat and I prefer white. I got the mango sorbet for dessert which was a good way to end the meal. Our waitress was also so sweet and talked/laughed with us a bunch. The inside of the place is super cozy and rustic feeling. I’d come back to try more off their main menu!

My family and I are here from out of town and just happened to stumble across this amazing place. From atmosphere, to service, to food, everything is well done. Food was excellent and piping hot, great flavor that seemed the most genuine we’ve had in a long time. A great experience can be found here at any time, lovely people!

We have been here a few times and it is a steady ok, however this time we were treated rather poorly. Although we had a reservation we were seated by the door which was very cold. We asked the hostess if there was any other seats (restaurant was not full at all) and she said no. We asked to sit at a booth which all were empty. She told us they were for parties of 3 or 4. Another party was sat next to us and complained about being cold and she moved them upstairs. She proceeded to sit 3 different couples in booths while we were freezing with our coats on. (Yes! They were parties of 2 which was why she told us we could not sit there ). Honestly, we should have just left but it was cold and we had tickets next door. I was given a dirty spoon for my soup, food was just warm, server was ok but seemed rather busy. The only prompt service was the entire staff was very willing to clear your plate. The food is not that good to endure a rude hostess who for some reason did not like us. If you go specifically ask to sit upstairs or in a booth ( if you are a party of 3 or more) otherwise you will freeze!!

Not impressed.
The food was just okay. The oysters were sandy, the escargot was made with a weird creamy sauce with pork and croutons in it. Not your typical French escargot. I guess some might like it, but I did not care for it.
The beef tartar was so bad we returned it.
The quiche was good but I was super hot which makes me think it was reheated. This level of heat can only be obtained with microwave handling. But it tasted good after it had a chance to cool down a little.
The drinks were really nice but quite expensive. A non alcoholic drink should not cost $10. Everything else is fairly priced.
The service was really good and our waiter was very attentive, friendly and available.
I probably won’t be back and wouldn’t recommend this place.

I found this hidden gem while searching for dinner during a recent trip to Philadelphia. The weather was perfect, and it was a delight to sit on their charming patio and enjoy the evening. The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. I ordered the pork chop, and it was absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. I highly recommend stopping by Caribou Café if you’re in the area. A great spot for a relaxed, satisfying meal.

I’ve heard of slow food, but this is ridiculous. Total breakdown on Valentine’s Day 2026. $85 pre fixe menu, but several items were already unavailable by our 6:30 reservation. We made our choices when we first ordered, and it took 45 minutes just to get drinks — and over an hour for course one. We waited another 30 additional mins for the second course (still just a salad) … and were brought a repeat of course one again by accident. We luckily got our proper second course after only another 20 mins. Then, we were brought the wrong third course about two hours into our meal. After 2.5 hours, we finished three courses but did not want to sit around for desert given the ridiculous delays. And I do not recommend crème brûlée to go. It looked like a crime scene. Plus, they also did not have the wine I tried to order. The management should be absolutely ashamed. They left the servers to fend for themselves and charged much more than the quality of the dinner provided. The servers did their best — and the food was ok, but not worth $85 per meal. They should offer refunds to pretty much anyone who tried to come in tonight. This was an embarrassing performance by a restaurant I hoped to like.

My partner and I had dinner here for Valentine’s Day and everything that came out was amazing. We came at the perfect time since it did pick up about 45 mins after being seated. McKenna was so helpful and sweet, she did an amazing job today being solo and trying to make sure everyone was doing well and if they needed anything. Props to her for managing the rush, will definitely be returning.

We came for restaurant week and ordered the 3 course meals for $40 each. Was our first time trying escargot and it was enjoyable. Butternut squash bisque was excellent and very flavorful. Entree portions were small but to be expected during restaurant week. The beef bourguignon was cooked well but felt bland. Chicken pot pie entree was on the saltier side and the puff pastry didn’t have much flavor. The lemon tart used the same puff pastry and was okay. Creme brulee was also just okay. Service was good and the staff was very kind.

We’ve been to Caribu several times over the past few months. We’ve enjoyed all our visits! First, the ambiance is great…very French, friendly, and unpretentious. The decor is beautiful and moody in a good way. They have accordion glass doors that open the whole place up to the street with sidewalk tables under an awning. Can’t wait to bring our pup here for a bite. Second, the food is on point for casual French. My favorite is the Salad Nicoise and hubby loves the burger and Pan Bagnat sandwich. We’ve had these more than once and they are consistently great! Third, service is excellent. We always sit at the bar and Aaron is their primary bartender. Not only does he have great suggestions for drinks, wine, or beer…but he is an amazing DJ. He curates the best music for the mood of the room and spans so many genres and timeframes, often choosing deep cuts from popular musicians…it’s very impressive. Lastly….they show the games! So if you want to drink delicious belgian beers or a beautiful french wine, while listening to Soft Cell’s Tainted Love, and watching the Phillies on TV….this is the perfect bougie “in a fun way” spot for you! We are becoming regulars for sure.
