Ordered sushi from here tonight (2x yellow tail, 1x teriyaki chicken) and while I don’t typically leave reviews, I felt I had to over this order.

It was some of the worst sushi I’ve ever had — they were openly falling apart, the quality of the yellow tail was extremely low, and it felt extremely thrown together without care or effort.

It may be an off night for the restaurant, but I can’t in good conscience not make note of this, and I have to suggest to people looking for sushi on a busy Saturday evening to look elsewhere.

ACTUAL ROTTEN FOOD, potential food poisoning. I ordered takeout from this place on 11/04/23. When I arrived home, I discovered that all of the rolls that included avocado were filled with rotten avocado. Not oxidized avocado, actual rotten avocado. There was also off-color salmon in a few of the rolls and the escolar was slimy.

As soon as we ate a roll both myself and my wife noticed that it tasted rotten and then we saw that all of the avocado was black in color. We are now both feeling ill and crossing our fingers that it doesn’t get worse, especially considering they serve raw fish.

I contacted the restaurant and they at first apologized and said the avocado shipment was rotten and that they would refund us the money. I pointed out that they didn’t need to serve the avocado if it was rotten and they said a manager would call in a few minutes to process the refund.

After 10 minutes, then 20 minutes, then 30 minutes, then 1 hour, and now 2 hours, it seems that they no longer care. I’ve called several times asking when the manager would call. The last two times the woman who answers the phone simply hung up on me. It seems they are not concerned with serving customers rotten food. They certainly don’t seem concerned with processing the refund or calling us back. If this is the care they take with their avocados, I can only imagine the state of the rest of the kitchen.

As there has been no response from the restaurant, it seems my only resolution in this case is to contact the DOH and report them. I’ve included a photo of the rotten avocado for anyone who wishes to see it (it’s not even the worst photo). Obviously, I wouldn’t recommend eating here, the food safety standards are disturbing and the customer service is atrocious. I’m just hoping I don’t end up in the hospital with food poisoning.

UPDATE: No response from the restaurant via email, phone or social media. They have not returned any the funds despite acknowledging that the food was rotten and now they simply hang up when we call. Incredibly awful service, we both felt ill afterwards. Clearly, they don’t care about the health or safety of their customers. Eat here at your own peril.

I ordered take out so I can’t speak to the atmosphere or service quality but I can absolutely say how I haven’t been that incredibly surprised for a very long time. I have ordered from many Asian restaurants and so often the pictures and descriptions look amazing. However, once delivered and eaten, it was all good, but didn’t have the wow factor! I ordered four different dishes from this place and every single one had the wow factor, it was such an explosion of deliciousness in each and every bite! Do yourself a favor and get your Ginger Exchange on, soooooo yummy!

The Korean fried chicken wings are the best wings I have ever had. I got the soy garlic wings and they had the perfect amount of sweetness and saltiness. The drunkard noodles were also really good. There are so many different noodles and rice dishes that I will definitely come back to try.

Pad thai and orange chicken were OFFENSIVELY bad. Pad thai was seemingly not cooked at all(??) and was just unseasoned plain translucent noodles with some peanuts. Chicken was somehow both overcooked and soggy at the same time, on par with grocery store frozen Chinese. Pretty sure this is just a ghost kitchen. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE

The sushi was spoiled! Literally tasted like I was swallowing the ocean. Praying I don’t get sick. Other reviews have also pointed out rotten food and food poisoning. Should have read reviews first.

Food is good, convenient because is close to my house. But all the time I order something from there they take a life to be ready, most part of the time they mistake your food for simply don’t read the clients notes or don’t pay attention in the details. I order through the app toast and says that the food would be ready at 7:02pm I got here 7:05 pm and now I’m here at 7:52pm waiting for my order while I make this review. The front desk was clearly passing the delivery apps ordens first. Completely waist or time!!!

I was visiting a family member and we ordered delivery from here. What a stressful disaster that was. The order was supposed to be dropped off and I get a text message from a door dash driver saying his car broke down. I was so confused it never said door dash when it was through their website and if I had known I would have just used my app. The driver was telling me to cancel the order and now I’m trying to explain to him I can’t it’s through the restaurants door dash. So I call the place and the kid working there says he doesn’t know how to order another driver. He didn’t know much about anything, so I went to pick up the order myself. I called door dash they were helpful, but couldn’t help with the refund so I call the restaurant again, says managers come in at night, call again later and they weren’t there that night and so he took my number down. Normally I wouldn’t be such a Karen, but it’s the principle! It’s been three days, no call, crooks took my money. On top of that I wanted a shrimp roll and I got salmon! 75 cents extra for peanut sauce no problem, never got it either. Never again!

Ordered Hamachi Nigiri and Pad Thai, both of which are good indicators of overall quality for places offering sushi and thai. Both were excellent. The Pad Thai appeared to be made to order—which isn’t always the case—and the seasoning was well-balanced. The fish for the Hamachi Nigiri was fresh, with a generous cut. However, I wish the sushi rice had been made daily; it was fine, but this is one area where there’s room for improvement. Some of the rice was a bit tough. Making it more often would really help.

I kinda assumed it would not be good and food is clealry not prepared by a ‘chef’ but systems are clearly in place to mitigate that. This place really exceeded expectations. Pleasently surprised!

Edit: Went back a second time and it was the same. The rice was still a bit less than fresh though. If they could fix that, I’d grab stuff from here far more often.
