For the third time in three years. the Media Scholars program at the University of Maryland chose Bob Evans in Laurel to cater our Media Thanksgiving because the students love the turkey and all the sides, especially the Mac and Cheese. This year I went in and worked with manager Mykenna to determine exactly the amount and type of food we needed. When I arrived at 2:30pm on the day of the 6 pm event, I learned that somehow I had communicated the wrong date and my order was in the computer for the next week. As I was standing there thinking we’d be having Popeye’s and Pizza, GM Christine and her colleague Cassie leapt into action and by about 4:30 pm, my order was in my car and on the way to the event. There were smiles from start to finish as everyone in the restaurant helped make the whole experience an amazing expression of teamwork and positive attitude. The food tasted even better this year because of the story that went with it. Thanks to all at the Laurel Bob Evans. See You. again soon.

My worst experience ever at a Bob Evans. The manager gets super defensive when customers have an issue with their food. The chicken breasts were tiny, almost half the size I saw at another Bob Evans last week. The biscuits were rock-hard—we think they were from the day before. When we complained, the server just said ‘sorry’ and changed the subject.

I placed my Thanksgiving order through their app. But food was delivered to a wrong address. After being on hold for a long time was informed that it was not their responsibility and needed to call door dash. I didn’t make my order through door dash. It ruined Thanksgiving and still have not gotten a refund. I reported it to my credit card company.

I did reach out, and this is there response:

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to Bob Evans Restaurants and sharing your concern. Kindly contact the store for refund. We can only add a $25 reward on to your Bob Evan app. If you like to add a reward then let us know. In this situation the refund option will be garyed out that is no longer available.

We value you as our guest and appreciate your continued support.

Sincerely,

I love this Bob Evans location. From when I lived around the corner to now just visiting the service and food quality have never disappointed me. The hosts and servers are always pleasant. The food is absolutely delicious every time.

I dined in at this restaurant yesterday (1/31/26) at approximately 4:30 p.m. and had a weird experience. The lady that served me (the receipt says Mykenna) came off as pleasant in the beginning. After being seated and going through the basic greetings, she asked where I was from. I told her where (it’s a southern state).
After receiving my food, I asked for the check. I normally pay then so the server does not have to keep checking on me. They can also attend to other customers. After receiving the check, I then asked if I should give her my card or pay at the front because I was going to pay right then. After learning I would have to pay up front, I attempted to get up. This lady tried to stop me from getting up. She said I need to wait until I was finished. I told her, “No, I am paying now.” She then proceeds to tell me that this is not the south. As if she was trying to throw that out as an insult. I didn’t engage her further after that. I paid and left a tip. At that time, I was thinking she might have had a bad day, I don’t know.
Thankfully, I felt wonderful yesterday and didn’t want to get in an altercation. I don’t know if it was a power trip or a sense of control that this lady felt yesterday. Maybe the restaurant should train her on professionalism in the service industry. I’ve never had a server try to stop me from paying my tab early.

I visited this location today with my 7 and 11 year old sons and had a horid experience. Their food came out incomplete and I didn’t get mine until they were halfway done what they did get. One of my pancakes was strategically placed on the bottom (because it was burnt) and my son’s french toast sticks were thrown on the plate haphazardly. Once they got the remainder of their food, they both tasted what they ordered and decided they were no longer hungry.

The hot chocolate my 11 year old ordered first came out last despite my asking for it twice. And to put the icing on the cake, we were subjected to a waitress in another section laughing AND CURSING with another customer who was obviously either her friend or a “regular” customer. And lets not mention the manager/shift leader with her smug attitude…totally NOT worth it!

Parents be warned: This IS NOT a child friendly Bob Evans!!

My husband and I were in the area this morning and wanted to get breakfast so we visited this Bob Evans location for the first time.

We have gone to this restaurant many times over the years, but at different locations. We were rather disappointed with the food this time.

When we arrived, we were seated fairly quickly. Our waitress, Kaleisha, came to our table very quickly and offered us a drink while we were looking over the menu.

My husband ordered the farmers breakfast with double meat and French toast. I ordered a simple meal of French toast with blueberries.

The food itself was fine. We just noticed that many of our favorites from just a few years ago didn’t appear to be on the menu anymore. So, what we were truly looking forward to when we decided to eat here, we no longer had an option to order because it wasn’t on the menu.

Kaleisha, our waitress was phenomenal, however. She was friendly and professional, but also very personable. She took great care of us!

The French toast was good. It was thick and filling. I was hoping the blueberry topping would be a compote, but it was just fresh blueberries. I had asked if there was any strawberry or other type of topping and it appeared. All that was available was fresh fruit.

My husband said his meal was fine. Nothing out of the ordinary, but nothing exceptional.

I would say, so long as you look at the menu ahead of time to make sure that what you want is still available, your visit will be fine. We just made a spur of the moment decision and didn’t realize some items were no longer available.

Otherwise, it was a very pleasant experience.

The food was really good here. The portions were big and most of us at the table couldn’t finish our plates. The strawberry pancakes were amazing. The caramel mocha coffee was real good too. The service was real fast and the servers were real nice. I would highly recommend.

Delicious Omelette, Slow Service—but Worth It!

Stopped by Bob Evans for breakfast and ordered the steak tip omelette, which was absolutely delicious. They actually remade it after mixing up my order before I even had to ask—nice touch! I appreciated the attentiveness. Shoutout to Keith, our waiter, who was super friendly and kept checking in.

That said, now I get why the service was slow. It took a full 45 minutes from walking in to walking out (which included about 5 to 7 minutes standing at the door waiting to be seated and then another 10 to 15 to take my order), which is a bit much for an omelette. If you’re not in a hurry, though, it’s worth the wait. I’ll be back for that omelette; just maybe not on a tight schedule next time!

Upon entering, there was a single man in front of my husband and I and a single woman behind us. Hub went directly to rest room. The woman who appeared to be the hostess or manager was chatting behind the counter. We waited. A waitress said she’d be right with us. Twice. Finally hostess/manager came over and said to the man 2? He said no I’m alone and I told her we weee a party of 2 and my husband was in the rest room.
She seated the man in front of me, then went to complain or something to another girl at the counter. All I heard was, because I told you to! Then she went into the kitchen. Eventually another minute or two later a waitress seated me and the woman behind me.
From that point on it was a pleasant experience. Food was good, hot, and affordable. Even gave us coffee to go.
But the only reason we stayed was because we were starving.
If you don’t treat the customers politely and quickly, you won’t be serving them food!
