Thank you to the owner of Cinco de Mayo for the complimentary slice of carrot cake. I picked up my Chicken Burrito Bowl and showed the person behind the counter your comments on my review. The chicken burrito bowl was delicious and good portions.
Eva’s Health combined with Cinco de Mayo into one restaurant offering Eva’s Health power protein plates and a large Mexican menu. Sounds odd but offers diverse items.
Cinco de Mayo has great B1G1Free like the Chicken Bowl and Carnitas Tacos. Eva’s offers B1 G1Free on various protein plates with brown rice. Good portions, good food at 2 for 1 prices. I always order the carrot cake with cream cheese frosting as dessert.
They also make delicious burgers and falafel wraps.
I ordered fish and shrimp tacos and they were standard. Cheese quesadilla turned out to have chicken 🙂
The birria tacos were excellent! Some of the best consome I’ve had. My wife devoured her California steak bowl. Would highly recommend this place if you’re in the area.
If this sounds paid, its not, I’m telling you I wouldn’t shut up about this meal while eating it and after I got on the train. This restaurant is just very much on my mind now. They don’t make food like this in Middletown…
Oh forgot to add they gave me two free muffins and it tasted like my moms healthy versions of pastries, very yummy.
Also. I am going insane wanting to visit again take me back!
But I just left and the food was soo good that I forgot to take pics.
I had the steak quesadilla with French fries, and a 32oz homemade pineapple juice. Everything was mucho delicioso.
It’s a very cozy place and the service was amazing. 10 out of 10 I will be going again.
Response to the owner: The chilaquiles I was served were two fried eggs on top of very hard, stale tortilla chips with some queso sprinkled on top. Agree, either check your recipe or speak with your chef. The chilaquiles or migas that I know are corn tortilla slices lightly fried in oil in a pan, scrambled eggs poured over along with your preferred salsa and cheese. I hope that helps.
