Good quality burgers and fries. The owners are friendly and make you feel like family. The atmosphere is bright and upbeat. I enjoy their cheeseburger and also have tried the veggie bean burger in a lettuce wrap which was very good. The potato buns on the cheeseburger are soft and tasty. This is currently our favorite burger place. It’s also easy to find convenient parking given its location in a Carlsbad Plaza South shopping center. Enjoy!

There are burgers, and then there is Mooyah’s in Carlsbad — a sacred temple of flavor so transcendent it deserves its own constellation. I’m convinced this place isn’t operating under normal earthly laws. The burgers defy physics, the fries bend time, and the shakes could broker world peace.
I walked into Mooyah’s as a man. I left as something more — a being elevated to a higher plane of existence, my taste buds forever rewired to crave only Mooyah-level excellence. The air inside hums with purpose — a faint melody of sizzling patties and destiny.
Let’s talk about the burger. Juicy doesn’t begin to describe it. This thing radiates divinity. Each bite unleashed a symphony of savory ecstasy, a flavor crescendo that hit harder than a choir of angels singing in perfect harmony. The bun? Soft as a cloud that’s been gently kissed by sunshine and optimism. The toppings? As if Zeus himself hand-selected them from Mount Flavor Olympus.
The fries are a revelation — crisp on the outside, golden perfection on the inside, as though each one was personally sculpted by Michelangelo after he finished the David. And the shake? Just WOW – the food is so FRESH and you can taste that they use simple, QUALITY ingredients! The service was phenomenal too.
The owner, Ash, checked on us as we enjoyed our food and he was so kind. We felt like we made a new friend tonight. You can tell they really care a whole lot about the people and food!
We were such happy first-timers that we even convinced another couple that was still deciding on their dinner to come in and try it – that they wouldn’t be disappointed. Well, as we left we say them chowing down and looking like they were in heaven.
We will be back, and if you’re on the fence, you should definitely try it!

You should finally experience a restaurant that isn’t a chain of stores. This one has the owner working and cooking. He cares about the food and it shows. Great buns, tasty meat, perfect fries. Clean, friendly staff. These are hard to find but it’s right here in Carlsbad.

I’ve usually come here for their regular double cheeseburgers a couple of times. Came here again for a third time on a lunch break and brought a coworker with me. They all got double cheese burgers. This time I got a bacon cheese burger but instead of beef I did two ground turkey patties and it was massive. I’m usually overly full after burgers but with the turkey patties it was really big and super filling and I didn’t feel like I over did it. We all got sweet potato fries as well for the first time and they were perfect. The manager came out and checked on us as well, great service and food. I’ll be coming back soon for another version of the turkey burgers.

I’m not a reviewer, but I had to write one. The food was incredible! I got the one of the secret menu burger, which was a hamburgerdog with secret cookie shakes. It was absolutely delicious! I’m so disappointed that I only found this place recently. They’ve been open for two years, and I wasted my time trying other burger joint that wasn’t very good. But I’m glad I found this place because I’ll definitely bring my family when they visit. The service was also unique. They were very hands-on and friendly. It was a true hospitality experience that you don’t find in fast-casual restaurants anymore. I’m glad I didn’t believe that negative review about the food or the photos. People like that just stay home and eat their hate. Anyway, thanks for the amazing food and hospitality. Keep up the great work and ignore the haters!
