Stopped in here for a late lunch with my teen and toddler. We were greeted on entry and quickly seated. The waitress came promptly and she was very nice. The menu is a bit extensive, one will need a few minutes to decide as they have a wide variety to choose from.
The complimentary chips were fresh, the salsa I expected more. If it was prepared fresh would have been so much better. The white bean dip was just OK.
The food was not hot, the portion was decent but the beans tou could count. When I see rice and beans that is exactly what I expect.
The tamales were not very good at all. Probably just different from what we have previously ate at other places.
I also felt there was a lack of flavor for a Mexican restaurant.
Not an expensive place and we loved the decor.
Would visit again, if it is even to find the best thing on the menu.

On a Sunday afternoon, me and a colleague of mine were working in the area and decided to grab some food as soon as we walked in everything was vibrant and everyone seem to be friendly, The manager was our waiter, and he asked us what we wanted to eat, I asked him for Quesobirras , he asked me if I spoke Spanish and I said a little I know enough to order food anyway, so he again asked me what I wanted to eat and I told him the same thing three times. he told me he didn’t understand what I was saying, and begin to attack me in Spanish. He began talking so fast I could not keep up with him and every time I will try to say something he would talk over me. He was trying to embarrass me in front of my colleague, I guess he thought me and her was on a date I ended up ordering something else and when I got it it had onions on it. I ask him if I can get the same dish but without onions because I didn’t know the onions came on it and he became very angry. when he brought me my food again, it had jalapeño peppers cut up, uncooked all over everything, at this point, I just gave up and picked all of the stuff off of my food and ate it so I would not anger him further. It was a very uncomfortable experience. when we paid for our food The manager was at the cash register, my colleague paid for both of our meals, and he was extra nice to her . in order to remain professional, there was nothing I could do at the time to keep this from happening again, or to someone else. I will not go back up there and eat. OK summary -I did not say anything or do anything to offend anyone, I was attacked by a middle-aged, gray haired Mexican manager that was “very insecure” as my colleague said , my food was basically sabotage with raw jalapeños everywhere, and I was disturbed for the rest of the evening. I would say with this attitude and the actions that were displayed, they may actually sabotage someone else’s food as well. I would’ve not taken the time to write this long paragraph if any of this was not completely true.

This place was very good! The portions of food was on point as well. Staff are really nice and they keep your drinks refilled which is a plus for me. I recommend this place for Mexican food if you’re in the area.

Great mexican food! They give you 3 different type of salsas with your chips to begin with, they have a decent sized menu with a great selection of mexican cuisine. Our server was attentive to us always, made sure we had refills and catered to our needs. Highly recommend this place!

I was passing through Jefferson on my way to Boone and decided to give this local business a try. I was greeted by a very friendly staff and was seated very quickly. This restaurant was very clean. Bright. And well maintained. Food was fresh and prepared correctly. Every effort was made to make sure my family and I was comfortable and pleased with our service. Prices were reasonable and affordable. Highly recommended dining experience.
