Love their Cali burrito! I’ve gotten it quite a bit over the past month since I discovered Oscar tacos. I always get delivery through DoorDash and there’s only been one time they forgot the salsa. I typically call in after I place my order to ask for the green salsa on the side and they’re always super nice!

Hole in the wall taco & burrito restaurant, you order up front and then they bring the food to you. Many good options for everyone. They do not give complementary chips and salsa just so you know. The burritos have a lot of meat in them! Staff was very friendly.

This place seriously has some of the best Mexican food in Tennessee. Far more authentic than the plethora of other restaurants I’ve tried out here. I’m from the West Coast/ Southwest and finding Mexican food like you’d get in San Diego, Las Vegas or Phoenix is near to impossible in TN, but Oscar’s on Mallory scratches the itch when a taco or burrito craving hits. The food here tastes very similar to what I used to get in San Diego, CA and also in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The tacos here are LEGIT. The crispy tacos are fried using corn tortillas just like you get in SoCal Mexican restaurants they are not prepackaged shells like you buy at the grocery store like many other TN Mexican restaurants use.
My favorites so far are the Carnitas tacos shrimp tacos, vegetarian burrito, & the crispy shredded beef tacos.
The only thing I wish they had here was some Baja style salsa to go with the chips and tacos.

The food here was excellent, tastes like it was made with love. The salsa is tasty with the perfect amount of heat. Fast friendly service. I got the cali nachos with some chicken tacos and was happy with everything.

I love Oscar’s so does my toddler. We got at least twice a week. Everyone that works there is friendly. Service is fast. I can usually feed myself and my kiddo for under $15. The food is fresh and delicious. Highly recommend Oscar’s. I moved from Arizona to California then to TN – Oscars tastes like west coast legit Mexican food.

As you can see this unique taco shop is in the new and coming part of Franklin along the line of businesses across the street from a large pond. It’s a great place to bring the family, date, or a quick lunch while sitting outside on the patio taking in the sun .
I am not sure who the artist is that painted all the murals on the walls inside but it gives this small shop personality that is for sure. I liked the large one on the wall to the left the most because they painted Oscar’s Taco shop as is in a fun way and pretty good detail too.
Now to the food. After coming in and heading to the counter to the left around all the booths I step up to the counter to order. I am gluten intolerant so I stick with the basics cheese Enchiladas with rice and beans or tacos to insure not reactions.
I order my meal and head to a bar top stool that could be used for alcohol consumption but not in use due to covid 19. The food came out very quick and tasted pretty good. It was all the basic ingredients and diffently real authentic Mexican food with out all the tex Mex add on. I have learned growing up in Texas 7 miles from the border that is a Mexican restaurant has orchata to drink they are an authentic Mexican restaurant. This restaurant does serve this and fits the bill.
I recommend this restaurant if you are looking for true authentic Mexican cuisine but if you are looking for alittle more flavor try another place.

We love Oscar’s in Hendersonville but this location food was not fresh and l threw it out. Tasted like reheated rubbery chicken. Confused why it is rated so highly.

Best tacos in Franklin for less or the same price as food truck tacos (but better). Each taco comes with a ton of meat, guac, and pico (so much that it falls off when holding it). No other spot for Mexican food if you’re in Franklin.

This was the first one I ever tried and it’s still my favorite location! I live in Midtown Nashville but I make it a point to stop by to get some tacos everytime I’m in the area. The amount of meat you get per taco, the flavor of all the ingredients as well as the freshness, makes every visit for me a reason to keep coming.
All the locations are very good but you definitely have to stop by this one if you want the very best. Every person I’ve brought here keeps coming back!
