Online it says they close at 8:30 on Tuesday but when I called tonight they said 8 which was fine because I was right up the street and called at 7:45. I wish they had just said ma’am we are gonna rush and burn this food up would you still like us to proceed and I would have said no. I’m calling tomorrow an ask for a refund. I spent $20 (and it didnt include a drink) bc I didnt want mcdonalds. But the $6 mcdonald meal would have been better than this burned up nasty food. It went straight in the trash.

If I could give the quality of food, a half star I would. Picture you can see that there is a pigeon somewhere missing his wings. Also, that big piece of fish which is supposed to be flounder was very mushy all for a whopping $22. I hadn’t been here in years now I see why. Although the staff was very friendly

No frills bbq place. Place order at counter, cash only, they bring it to your table. Generous portions. A bowl of Brunswick stew is a pint container. Bbq is very tasty, not too vinegary. Hush puppies are great.

Food was not hot and waitress was told and apologized, but nothing was done. 3 members of our party got sick and one ended up in hospital with a serious intestinal infection. DO NOT EAT FOOD IF IT ISN’T TO YOUR SATISFACTION.

Every time I work in Kinston, I swing by for the special. First of all, I noticed they changed their hours again and reopened on Monday’s. I always go thru drive thru. On the first day I had beef tips over rice which is listed as a special 3x in a week. I do wish they had more variety in the special of the day. I tried the bone-out fried chicken breast and it was just ok. I couldn’t understand why such a term was used on a menu. Either it’s cooked on the bone or you buy a boneless filet. Not sure why the felt the need to give you the same breast and just pull the bone off for you as if I’m not capable of doing that. Must be a local term. They serve the best homemade creamed potatoes and the cabbage always seasoned well. The side portions should be larger. I didn’t give 5 stars for service because the cashier forgot to give me my drink and I had to return to the restaurant.
