Very authentic Mexican flavors in their food! I love the colorful and decorated atmosphere and the servers are very friendly. Try the beef tongue and chicken. You can order 1 of each taco burrito and enchiladas to try. They’re all great!

We celebrated my 52nd birthday there there. A family of five, there was plenty of room for us. Plus we watched the place. Get super busy on a Thursday night. Our waiter was exceptional. Kind, chill laid-back dude and was able to handle the room like a pro. The salsa bar was amazing. The featured attraction for me personally was the fried ice cream. It was on point. Thank you for making such beautiful core memories for my grandchildren and honestly the best birthday I have ever had!!

It was a very cool place to eat. I liked how you order at the counter, get chips, and get to dish out your own salsa .
It was very quiet and peaceful too. I didn’t get a chance to eat on the patio but it would have been nice to enjoy the weather.
I enjoyed a Supreme Steak Burrito and oh my…very tasteful and scrumptious I will be coming back to enjoy more of their menu!

The food was about a 3 or 4 star. The ground beef wasn’t very tasty. However the steak and chicken in my tacos were amazing. The corn tortillas were very good. Enchiladas were good, chips and salsa were okay.
The carnitas looked like diced spam.
The seating, indoor and outdoor was good. The shop is full of neat things my kids wanted to see them all.
Overall the service and experience was good. We would come back to this establishment for another meal.

Ordered a menudo and was charged 20$ for soup and maybe a handful of meat. When I called to let them know they told me it’s under new management and that’s all I’m getting. Stay away from this place. Menudo tasted as if it was cooked weeks ago and so oily. This place went down hill. Would never recommend

Big menu with more than just the typical Mexican restaurant options. Food is always excellent and doesn’t taste like it is just a bunch of combinations of meats, rice, beans and tortillas. The service is outstanding. Eddie’s son picked up the skills of hospitality from his father and you can just feel the pride he has to make this restaurant even better.

“Hidden gem in Rochester! Don’t let the unassuming exterior fool you – El Carambas Taqueria is a delightful surprise inside. The interior is well-decorated and comfortable, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
A standout feature is their unique salsa bar. You get chips and can choose from a buffet-style selection of salsas, allowing you to try different combinations and find your perfect match.
We tried the fish tacos, which were delicious, and the fried ice cream for dessert was a perfect sweet finish. The rice water was an authentic touch that added to the overall experience.
The prices are reasonable – our meal for two, including two entrées, guacamole, two specialty drinks, and dessert, came to around $50 (about $25 per person).
The friendly environment and attentive service made our visit even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for authentic Mexican cuisine in Rochester with good value for money, this place is a must-try. Highly recommended!”

El Carambas is a fun and festive restaurant that’s popular for its tasty dishes and big salsa selection. The one disappointment when I ordered the taco plate #1 is that the tacos were fried hard shell tortillas and not the traditional soft double corn tortillas. Still tasted delicious.
