Driving through on a Saturday aftrrnoon and decided to stop. Dining room was pretty steady with families so we elected to sit at the bar for a more quiet “day-date lunch.” Amazing food, great service, and good drinks, as well as college football! Would go back for sure!

I grew up in southern Illinois and Monical’s was our go-to pizza shop! I’m so happy there is one close to where I live now! I stop every time I come through the area! The dining room has a beautiful view of the lake!

Nice little pizza/pasta/sandwich place along the main road. We waited 50 minutes on a Friday night at dinner time, not too bad. The few overlooking the water was a beautiful way to spend the time.
The food was alright, and a decent price!
They seemed to want to serve us quickly, maybe a little too quickly, considering how long we waited for a table.
My sister didn’t enjoy the tortellini, but the spaghetti and thin crust pizza were good.

Imagine my surprise to find my $4.00 Mac n cheese cane from a box and not from scratch…. How dare they serve this and charge 3 times its value. Never go back amd will tell all my friends about horrible food!!

I never leave reviews but after the service we received last night, I feel like I have to. Me and my coworkers went to celebrate our final day of work and had called earlier to see if we could make a reservation but were told it was first come first serve. When we got there, there was a large party of about 30 but other than that, it was fairly empty. The host was an older lady who asked how many in our party and when we said 8, she asked if the other 4 would be joining soon, to which we said they should be slowly coming in behind us. We watched as she angrily moved tables together and slapped down menus before glaring at us and telling us to sit.
Our actual server was a very sweet woman but this older lady proceeded to come over about 5-10 minutes later, as our party was running late and the parking lot was a mess due to the large party, and angrily ask when the rest of our party was getting there before pointing a finger in my friends face and saying “Well, no, YOU told me they were right behind you. I’m not seeing anybody.” As a former server, I understand not wanting customers to hold tables, however she did not say our entire party had to be there in order to be seated and this all took place within 20 minutes.
We attempted to order our food to not make it seem like we were holding a table but she stormed off and continued glaring and pointing at our table from across the dining room. We gladly would have placed our order when we arrived but nobody returned to our table after bringing out waters, instead very clearly talking about us at the host stand. The atmosphere was completely unprofessional and downright rude, ruining what was supposed to be a celebratory night. We debated just leaving after getting our drinks, which we should have done because the pizza was overpriced and mediocre. I would not recommend this place to anybody.

Always good pizza. Staff semi welcoming. Winter so no crowd. Ordered deluxe pizza and family salad for 4 of us. Had plenty with left overs.

Having lived in the Northwoods for the last six years I have driven past Monica’s hundreds of times I have seen the number of cars there and it always looked too busy to stop in or order to go. Well last Tuesday, October 21st I finally ordered a sausage, mushroom and green pepper pizza to go. Along with some garlic bread.
I really wanted to like it but it just wasn’t any good. Neither the pizza or garlic bread had any flavor. Plus the undercarriage of the crust was not completely done.
I have traveled coast to coast and border to border for over 50 years and have experienced pizza everywhere and this was actually one of, if not the most disappointing pizzas I’ve ever had. It literally tasted like a cheap frozen pizza
