The Pepperoni’s brand was born in Duluth, Georgia in 1997. Phil’s grandparents were in the hospitality business — Phil’s Grandfather owned a “saloon” in Northern Kentucky called “Charlie’s”. His establishment was renowned in it’s time. As frequently happens, his parents chose not to continue in the family business. The passion returned a generation later. Phil worked in foodservice in his teens and had an awakening while working for the C.A. Muer Corporation. He became a manager for the well known Detroit seafood restaurateur. During his time there, he was privileged to work for Corporate Chef and native Italian Larry Pagliari. Chef Larry was notorious for his obsession for “Quality Meals”.
Upbeat pub & eatery offering pizza, pasta & American entrees amid dark woods, TVs & kitschy details.

The Italian Sausage! Not only is it sliced instead of crumbled it has spices you can see! And Aroma! The cheese stays melted and soft and stretchy!
About 12 beers on tap.
Also, if you are a Michigan Wolverines fan, you must attend a big game here, you will make friends here! Cheers to Phil! I will continue be a loyal customer for as long as it’s here!
I was first looking at pizza but $25 for a 16″ cheese pizza seems excessive, but maybe there’s more to it that I don’t know about. Just saying that I don’t think you could find a more expensive pizza in the area if you tried. Same with the wings, maybe there’s more to it, but the price is very high.
We got the “giant” onion rings which were not giant in size or portion. Maybe they should be called “average” onion rings to be more accurate. Again, $11.75 is a bit much for this. The pic I attached is exactly as it came, that’s how many rings you get for $12. That’s about $1.50 per onion ring.
The calzone and pasta carbonara were really good, no complaints at all.
Just my opinion of course.
There were some other options and drink specials that seemed like good deals so maybe we’ll try to not spend so much next time. We will return because the “killer” hot wing sauce sounds really good. Hopefully, it’s not an embellishment like the giant onion rings. Lol.
( in 82 years) Voted Best Pizza for a reason! Rarely get top quality and best service anywhere like this from really good people! Trust me! Just wish I lived closer
Then I asked if they had any Pizzas with a bit of spice to them…. He suggested the Milano, and he’d add some jalapeños and a signature spicy sauce used for one of their wings…. And it was exactly what I was looking for.
Looking forward to my next meal here!
We have been going to the Duluth location but that location has closed so we typically go to this location for takeout. Since it was Valentines Day, family and I decided to dine inside. When entering this establishment we were immediately greeted by the owner. My husband mentioned we’ve been coming here for over 20 years. All he said was “Happy Valentine’s Day” .We thought that was awkward maybe he didn’t hear us. So after we received our drinks by the waitress we sat there for about 15 minutes she never asked were we ready to order. We had to get the attention of the hostess to tell our waitress that we were ready to place our order. Mind you it was not busy at all, after placing our order we waited longer than usual again. The owner had to pass our table at least fifteen times going to each table serving and greeting each table. I observed of course thinking we were next. No nothing. He had so many chances to acknowledge us.He finally came after we were done and asked “how was the pizza” and grabbed the pizza holder. Are you serious?? I’m livid that I chose this spot especially on Valentines Day. People of color this place is not for us.
