Operations have improved slightly waited in line Sat afternoon for 15 min then after ordering the kiosk said the eta would be 30 min but we waited 10-15 min to receive our order. The texting system is now working to let you know when your order has completed.

On a Saturday afternoon by 2pm they were sold out of at least half of their specialty mochis which was rather disappointing. We were able to try a selection of the ones they had including the Oreo, taro cream cheese, strawberry, and pineapple.

The mochi itself was good, fresh, bouncy, and soft. The fillings were a little more all over the place. Because they don’t add sugar some of the fruit filled mochis were borderline sour and the cream is almost yogurt in flavor than what I would expect for a strawberry or pineapple cream. I would almost prefer for them to cut out the cream and just have the mochi filled with the plain fruit with a compote instead.

I would personally stay away from the mochis with cream cheese. They literally take a slab of cream cheese (1oz) and place it in the middle of the mochi. If they wanted incorporate cream cheese in the mochi I would prefer for it to be chopped and mixed into the other ingredients or have them consider whipping the cream cheese for a lighter texture.

Overall the filling aren’t very sweet but the combinations we tried were lackluster.

I would come back to try their smaller mochi boxes as their mochi is fresh but the big mochi balls are overhyped especially in the context of such a long wait.

The mochi quality is insanely good. It’s fresh, chewy, super soft, and not sweet (unless you add in the sweetened powder). They’re also ginormous. I recommend sharing with 2 other people if you’re gonna order more than 1 mochi. I grew up eating mochi covered in peanuts/peanut powder and this place has exactly that. Reminds me of the mochi vendors outside supermarkets when I was a child. The strawberry cream mochi was so good as well, filled with strawberry cream and tart strawberries that balanced out the sweetness. Yes there was a long wait but I wasn’t in a hurry and had free time, so it wasn’t too bad! They’re still in soft opening so it’s understandable.

Found this spot on IG and had to try it since my son and I love mochi.
The Food:
The product itself is delicious. The “Special” mochi are huge—we tried the Black Sesame Matcha Chocolate and the Taro Cream Cheese Oreo. Both were impressive. The regular Sesame Peanut mochi was a highlight for me personally; it brought back memories of growing up in Singapore.
The Wait & Service:
Be prepared to wait. We arrived at 1:54 PM and despite the sign warning of a 1-hour wait, it actually took 75 minutes to get our order. The most frustrating part is that they do not text you when your order is ready. You have to keep walking back and forth to the counter to check if your number is up, which is a hassle.
The Price:
We spent about $30 for the Twin Flavor, 2 specials, and 2 regular mochi. It is on the pricier side, but the portions for the special mochi are substantial.
Verdict:
Great flavors and texture, but the operations need to catch up to the hype. I probably won’t be back unless the wait times are significantly reduced.

Came in at a Friday night and the wait time for ordering in store was about 5 mins, and the preparation time was nearly 1hr. The seasonal grape cheese mochi is definitely killing! The egg yolk is also great. The passion fruit pineapple is a bit sour for me. Also tried the Oreo and taro one, taro is good but they are not a good combination. Would buy again when the line is shorter.

If you love mochi, this place lives up to the hype. Nuo Mochi in Monterey Park is absolutely bomb.

Mochi is my favorite dessert, especially anything with sesame and peanut, and this spot does it right. We came right when they opened at 1 pm on a Thursday and it was already packed. Ordering is easy with two self-order kiosks, and you get a text when your order is ready, which keeps things moving.

I ordered the original sesame peanut mochi ball and the mixed mochi rolled in sesame and peanut. The mochi ball came in a plastic sleeve inside a cup, which was actually really smart because it kept things clean and not messy to eat. The mixed mochi came in a box. Both were fresh, soft, and packed with that nutty, rich filling I love.

There is limited outdoor seating, probably enough for about 6 to 8 people, so plan accordingly. Parking is easy though. Free street parking and a free lot are available.

I will definitely be back to try their seasonal mochi, especially the ones with fruit and boba filling. This place is a must if you are a mochi fan.

The mochi tastes very good. But the wait time is too long. Definitely room for improvement regarding efficiency. We ordered four mochi, took 1 hour 40mins for the order to be ready. It is good to have many customers but wait time can definitely be improved. But mochi are freshly made on the spot and tastes good

This mochi shop is absolutely wonderful! The mochi skin is soft, chewy, and perfectly bouncy, and the fruit inside is incredibly fresh and flavorful. Each piece is generously sized, so you really get great value. The shop itself is also very clean and well-kept, which makes the whole experience even better. Highly recommend!

I found Nuo Mochi via a viral reel on social media, ano it didn’t disappoint! They make made-to-order mochi with different sweet and savory fillings. I got the durian mochi and black sesame chocolate matcha mochi. The durian mochi is literally just durian wrapped in mochi, but it was really good if you love durian! It’s quite hefty so it’s worth the price. The black sesame chocolate matcha was on the sweeter side, but also quite hefty with filling as well. I would go back to try the savory taro and pork floss mochi when the hype dies down.

Since they’re in soft opening and figuring out their operations, it was quite slow. I waited 2 hours total. Ordering is via kiosks so you don’t interact with the workers, and you get a text when it’s done. I recommend ordering and then coming back later if it’s busy!

The lines are fast so doesn’t matter if you queue up outside the store, after you put your orders it roughly 10-20 mins wait.

The best one would be green grape becaue the grape is so fresh and crunchy. The second one i would say it’s durian but it’s only for durian lover because it’s totally the legit one.

One mochi is really big, so it’s better to shared with your friends. And recommended to eat it fresh and not put it in the fridge because the mochi will get hard.
