A beautiful restaurant. Staff very welcoming & pleasant. Food was amazing. We have visited Japan recently & we felt the food here was of the same authenticity. We had the wagu croquettes to share, vegetarian ramen bowl & chicken katsu curry. Good size portions. Highly recommend

Me and my boyfriend came here for our anniversary dinner and it was lovely. We had a nice table by the window, the staff were very helpful when I asked for drink recommendations and we had questions about the food ingredients we weren’t familiar with. They also surprised us with a free brownie when we ordered dessert to celebrate our special day.
I gave 4 stars for the food because my boyfriend said the sushi didn’t feel fresh and wasn’t great, but aside from that we really enjoyed our dining experience.

The service was absolutely amazing and the staff were so friendly — they even offered to take our photo, which was such a lovely touch. I came here to do my bridesmaids proposal and they made it incredibly special. We were all surprised with a complimentary glass of prosecco, which was unexpected and so thoughtful.
Even the little details stood out — the handwritten note and drawings on the receipt turned it into a keepsake I’ll treasure. The sushi platters were delicious and beautifully presented, and everyone loved them.
It’s those thoughtful extras that made the whole experience unforgettable. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be back!

Wow what an experience! After visiting Japan earlier this year I knew what authentic Japanese food tasted like and this restaurant did not disappoint! To ne honest the food here was better than some of the meals I tried in Japan!
The interior is themed well with a Japanese style and the layout is well organised with a good atmosphere and layout.
Our waitress Lucy was brilliant! Very efficient and wish her well on her masters degree.
The food was brilliant with a great range to select from. Prices vary from low to high giving you a range to choose from depending on your budget.
I have become very picky of the restaurants I choose to eat at these days due to the increased prices for small low quality portions but this was not the case at Kibou! We both thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely return.
I heard the main chef is Japanese and wish to thank him for bringing his incredible skills to this restaurant.
Thank you all for a memorable dining experience. I shall return! 5* from me.

Had a wonderful experience at Kibou Restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, and our waitress, Sarah, made it even better, she was incredibly thorough in helping me choose the Halal options and made sure everything was perfect. We were celebrating a double birthday with work colleagues, and the atmosphere made the occasion even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Had a delicious dinner here on Friday. Didn’t have a reservation but was seated immediately. Lovely mocktail selection and great ambience. Tried lots of little plates and enjoyed everything we received, including lovely dessert too. Definitely recommend for authentic Japanese food.

We’ve been here twice in the last month and loved it! The food is great, with several options even if you don’t eat sushi. My favourite is the Katsu curry, will keep returning for that. Only suggestion would be to have a more diverse dessert menu.

Excellent service… Me and my partner had the Mizo soup, dynamite prawns, chashu pork ramen and sirloin sushi (would definitely recommend the sirloin sushi) food was amazing. 15% discount honoured for blue light card holders… Will visit again.

Absolutely lovely spot, food was amazing, drink selection was great and a good selection of gluten free dishes and a pale ale too and I was assured that it will be prepared fresh in a different area to avoid cross contamination. The A5 wagyu was amazing We will definitely visit again.
