This restaurant is for pizza napolitana connaiseurs. If you know your pizza napolitana and if you know what pizza napolitana has to present and to offer then this place is for you. They use double zero flour from Italy. Their wood fired oven is built by all the requirements of the trade and it reaches the temperature of 950 F or 510 C. The pizzaiollo forms the pizza by hand and puts her in the oven for 2 minutes. That’s all it takes. I have eaten pizza in Italy and I have eaten pizza from Israel all the way to Hawaii in every country I visited and I did quite a few. This is Pizza Napolitana by the book. Don’t let anybody else tell you anything else. Mario, it’s a friendly dude, the atmosphere is relaxed, no pretenses, no nonsense. And they accommodated my party of ten. And trust me, the pizza there it’s the real deal. They serve Italian import beer and very good wine and then at the end comes the tiramisu dessert which is something else on another level.

I went there on a Friday night and was able to snag a last-minute reservation for early dinner. As always, their pizza didn’t disappoint. The classic Margherita is my favorite. I also tried the octopus salad, which was good, but I’m not sure it’s worth the price.

It’s disappointing when the salads are better than the pizza! The pizza was served room temperature – almost cool. The crust could also use more salt and olive oil to enhance the flavor. However, the ingredients are very good and the wood-fired oven makes up for what they lack elsewhere.

The lady at this location gave my family and me menus with lower prices. However, when the bill arrived, we discovered that the actual prices were significantly higher. She simply explained that she had given us the old menu with old prices, but we ended up paying the new prices. I believe this is illegal!

Definitely one of the best pizzas in Manhattan! We had the super spicy “pepperoni”, as well as a bit of wine. The pizza is a thin but strong crust, perfect for holding and folding. I honestly could eat 2, it’s so good!

I visited this place with a friend last night and we were really impressed. We first ordered the Don Dom pizza. It was just heaven in our mouths! Then tried Del Popolo, really good! To our surprise, we were given a third pie of our choosing for free. A very nice gesture from a high-quality pizza place. We could eat it next day but it was so good that we decided to give it to a homeless person. Sam, the lady that assisted us in the restaurant, was very helpful. Great, warm, and fast service! Definitely will go back to Motorino!!

The best pizza in NYC, I guarantee it. I’ve tried more than 15 pizza places in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
I ordered an extra spicy soppressata pizza with grilled peppers on top, and it was mind-blowing. The dough was very chewy and puffy. My husband ordered a sausage pizza with mushroom toppings, and both were really good.

Huge salad and tasty Napoli style pizza that’s only 15$ during lunch?!? I just love this place. It’s cute and cozy with a gorgeous pizza oven in the back. Came hungry. Rolled out totally satisfied.

A hidden gem in East village. It was fairly empty on a Monday night so we sat inside. Very cute decors and candle light on every table perfectly setting the ambiance. We got Margarita pizza and Prosciutto di Parma. Crunchy crust and perfect size for an individual. The beer glasses were chilled which felt very quaint like something you’d wanna brag about later like on a review. While waiting the chef got us a mixed green salad appetizer on the house which was delicious! This tiny restaurant is the reason East village is so popular with tourists and residents alike. Give them a try, I know I will again

Wonderful pizza but most of all amazing service. We came in with a disabled person and Omar was the nicest host we’ve seen ever. They saved us a special seat and were extremely gracious. And the pizza and fried artichokes were incredible!
