I’m not sure how long Xin Kee has been around, but it’s easily the best Chinese food I’ve tried in Columbus.

Located inside the large Asian super market to the far left, you’ll see the spinning rotisserie inviting you over. You’ll walk into view of the open kitchen where an open flame kisses the Wok (frying pan) and that sweet sizzle bless the ears.

Prices are very reasonable and portions are plenty, soup included!

I’ve been trying the food here for a couple of years now and my first two or so experiences were phenomenal. I like to treat myself to lunch when having grocery shopped here because we don’t live close to the place and there’re no good Asian options near us.

Loved the Mongolian beef and chicken. Since then I have also had the house special fried rice (today’s lunch), the beef with vegetables, broccoli beef, chicken fried rice, and of course the Mongolian beef and chicken again a few times, in addition to crab rangoon, egg drop soup and egg rolls.

I would say the only consistency has been in the quality of the rice and egg rolls. Pretty sure they’re using the same kind of rice I prefer at home, calrose. It’s almost always perfectly cooked. The egg rolls are always tasty.

The egg drop soup is basically yellow water. I had it once where they seemed to actually make good egg drop soup that day. Egg drop soup is not hard at all to make but this stuff they have is a joke. No seasoning. No egg really. It’s literally like yellow water.

No seasoning at all in my house fried rice today. Plenty of meat, egg, diced carrots etc. just that not one bit had any flavor. Had to add a bunch of soy sauce at home which is not my favorite thing when I pay for cooked food. The first time I had the beef with vegetables, amazing, flavorful and lots of good fresh veggies. Second time, barely any flavor and very lacking in vegetables. The broccoli beef I got once, barely any flavor, bland. Fried rice main dishes are hit or miss. Consistency is the largest missing factor with this place.

I don’t think I will get anything next time I grocery shop here. I can go home and cook way better Asian food and that’s really sad because I am a white lady (but I know how to season food). I made way better oyakodon in my rice cooker yesterday than today’s fried rice from here. This place unfortunately seems to be happy just being middle of the road okay. It’s not bad and not the worst Asian food, it’s just not as special as it was when we first started going out of our way to get food here.

They Food Was Horrible ! EVERYTHING !!! And We Ordered About 4 Different Meals ! The Service Sucks The Lady Behind The Counter Gets Attitude When You’re Trying To Get A Clear Understanding Of What’s What On The Menu. I Really Hated It The Best Part Was She Honored My Request When I Returned One Meal Due To It Tasting Like Some Type Of Fragrance ( Singapore Noodles) I Then Ordered Mongolian Beef ( Which Was NASTY AS HELL ) Even The Egg Drop Soup Was Nasty ! I Mean How Can You Go Wrong With That ! OMG PLEASEEEE LISTEN & THROW THE WHOLE RESTAURANT AWAY ! It Was A Waste On 47$

Honestly the lunch special is a great deal for the amount of food you get. Also can’t get crispy pork belly anywhere else except Atlanta.

OH. MY. GOODNESS.

I just left the restaurant/market and little over 30 minutes ago and had to leave an IMMEDIATE review. The House Special Fried Rice is one of, if not THE BEST you will ever find anywhere. It’s sweet, savory, and saulty. It looks beautiful. The eggs are cooked amazing and the veggies, you can tell they cut themselves. The pork was sweet. The chicken and beef were the right size to mix in.

AND, THERE WERE NO FATTY pieces of beef, pork, or chicken. One of my biggest pet peeves with many restaurants, is when they “cheat” and use the fat and gristles of meat products instead of meat.

But this restaurant didn’t.

Don’t let the picture fool you; I already ate 50% of it, and I don’t think I can stop until it’s all done. IT’S THAT DAMN GOOD!

Surprisingly good quality Asian food for Columbus. The honey BBQ pork was very good. However, the roast duck was not so good … skin wasn’t very crispy and was full of fat. However, it is nice to have this option in Columbus.

I ordered a stir fried egg noodle with soy sauce on a food delivery app, but when it arrived, I opened my food and found it was just plain fried rice noodles, so I called the store to inquire about it. However, the service staff at the front desk who was responsible for taking orders said that it was because I chose rice noodles when placing the order. So they made me fried rice noodles. It was your problem, not ours. I didn’t want to pursue it any further, but this attitude really made it impossible for me not to pursue it.

In comparison to another location in Opelika, “Taste of Asia” that located inside the Asian Supermarket, the roasted duck here in Columbus priced a little higher with smaller in size and a little under seasoning. I’ll try more dishes next time definitely including the roasted duck hope the taste improves next time. Love to be regular here “Roasted Duck” is one of my favorite dishes in the whole world LOL.
Second visit was ok I ordered a few dishes best of all was crispy pork very tasty including the crispy pork noodle soup. The other two dishes were under seasoned especially poached chicken has zero flavor but very juicy. Bty the restaurant is a take out kind of restaurant they served food in plastic containers.

I got the half duck and some spicy schezuan dishes along with some noodles!
Everything was 5 stars, but the noodles were burnt! Dragged the whole experience down!! Overall, I am satisfied and will return!! Our order was over 90 and it is enough food for at least 4 or 5 days! Well worth it..next time I’ll tell them to hold the burn, lol

First time going here based on a Facebook group and I thought the food was really good. Ordered General Tso chicken, sesame chicken, veggie fried rice, dumpling, and egg rolls.

Dine in, take out, or delivery available. Arrived around 7 on a Saturday and the food was ready very quickly. Good portion size and not too crazy expensive. Staff was so friendly too!

All in all, I will be back and look forward to trying other dishes next time.
