Overlooking the Caney Fork River, Foglight offers scratch-made cuisine, terrific service, and a warm, rustic environment. Offering full-service “finer” dining, we’ve been serving guests from all over Tennessee and surrounding states for over 26 years.
Rustic, Southern-inspired venue with a patio dishing up made-to-order Creole fare like jambalaya.

Found this place on our way back from Twin Falls. We arrived 10 minutes till 4pm, and glad we arrived early as it didn’t take long before the waiting areas filled up. There’s an outdoor covered pavillion covered wait area to the right of the restaurant with a lit firepit and there’s a large indoor wait area as soon as you walk through the main door. Table, at bar, group table, and patio seating available. Although, the back patio wasn’t open this visit. Exterior matches interior with a mix of rustic meets cabin chic. Our server was friendly and attentive. Everything we ordered was beyond delicious. We ordered the pretzel knots for the appetizer, the blackened cajun chicken alfredo, the pasta-laya, the pecan crusted catfish, and the apple crumb pie. A little pricey, but so worth it. The welcoming, at home atmosphere along with some of the best cajun food we’ve ever had and our friendly server ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What’s surprise to come across this place while camping at Rock Island SP. We tried the coconut shrimp, blackened chicken Alfredo, steak, cheese bread and mousse cake. The shrimp was wonderful and very pretty presentation (forgot to take a pic). Steak was good, cheese bread had too much salt to eat (really do not recommend that at all) and the Alfredo was good but it seemed the chicken was just premade chunks and not blackened. It seems the blackened seasoning was just sprinkled into the Alfredo so you lost the full Alfredo sauce taste. Really too bad as it was okay but could be better if a fresh chicken breast was cooked then served on to of the pasta. The serving size was huge. The chocolate mousse cake was worth every bite. Check this place out see what you think. I’ll be back but I will be trying something else. We visited just as they opened in November so there was no wait but it was filling up even on a Wednesday.

This is my happy place and my very favorite restaurant of all time!! Just when I thought I couldn’t love it any more…… I ordered the perfect dinner this past Saturday night. I got the swamp cakes, and they were the best crab cakes I’ve ever had!! Huge chunks of crab meat mixed with etouffee and smoked cheddar cheese atop creamy herbed grits with the vegetable of the day. My veggie was seasoned corn and it was divine!! The grits were perfection, they were light, fluffy, and creamy. For dessert, my friend and I split the bourbon pecan pie with fresh whipped cream. It was the best pecan pie I’ve ever tried, we both loved it!! if you haven’t tried Foglight Foodhouse you really should!! The food is exceptional and the ambience is quirky and fun with many choices to dine outside on the porch overlooking the river, or inside where you can enjoy the folk art decor.

I don’t normally write food reviews. The place was amazing, food was top notch, and the view was beautiful sitting on the back dining area. Highly recommend if you enjoy Cajun food. Our waitress was also a delight.

This is a fantastic place to eat way off of the beaten path. Tonight’s special was a free appetizer with the purchase of two entrees. My wife ordered the pecan crusted catfish and I had the Rock Island Ribeye, while the ribeye was good, the catfish was even better!!! The caviar appetizer was spot on!!! Definitely recommend, you will not leave hungry!!!

I was really pleased at my whole dining experience. Food was top notch and definitely not your typical boring fare. The scenery outside was beautiful. I definitely recommend checking this place out.

We had the Red Beans and Rice, The Crawfish Étouffée, and the Coconut Shrimp appetizer. The shrimp was good. The other dishes were waaaaaay too salty to eat. We got there for lunch and there was a wait of 10 min the waitress said. We waited an hour. It was a beautiful place and not that busy so we believed her when she said 10 min. We had such high hopes for a great experience after hiking to the beautiful a waterfalls. Very Disappointed.

Neat place, interior decor very country. We went on an all you can eat catfish evening. Catfish was plentifull and good. Plate came with a large side of green beans.., which we both found were not hot/warm but cool as if they sat out for awhile. They went uneaten. We ordered the coconut shrimp as an app. As soon as they were put on the table we both looked at each other and made a face. The shrimp was dark along the edges which of course means the shrimp is over cooked.., which they were, slightly chewy. We will try this place again.., Service and decor was good.

Great spot down the street from our rental at Happy Yakers. What a treat to have a yummy restaurant eat at so close. Trudy’s peach pork chop was amazing. I had a blackened chicken crawfish Alfredo pasta that was ok (I was hoping for a bit more flavor). Everything else including the 6 layer chocolate cake was great! We will be back.

This is my favorite place. We’ve had large groups and intimate dining experiences. They offer inside and outside dining by the water. They don’t take reservations, so you might have a little wait. But well worth it.
