9/5/25 – was visiting on a mini vacation. The place is in a shared building with other restaurants to try. The service was little show here when it didn’t seem that busy. But our server was still super nice. The food looked average but I was so wrong, it was very delicious. Everyone loved their food. I got the shrimp scampi. My friend got the lasuagne, it was a huge portion. My friend did a make your own with pesto sauce, the sauce was delicious, and my husband got a margarita pizza. Would super recommend.

I really thought about not posting, but after this experience, I will. We ordered large pizza with extra sauce. Instead had a large with basically NO sauce. Took it to go because of simple hunger. I ordered Alfredo with chicken. Chicken extremely bland but moist. Fettuccine was too soft. No taste. I ate less than 1/4. Ordered Wings appetizer and wings were…tough. had 3 out of 7. Had a beer and ice tea. Bill was $71.00. waitress was super nice and when we told her and showed her no sauce , etc… she spoke to the manager. So, they basically took chicken off of the bill for Fettuccini and took 20%off of the pizza. I accepted this, but thought , you’re charging me for a Pizza you know isn’t right. Bill still at $71 AFTER “DISCOUNTS”. I’m only complaining because we have noticed at too many places here lately that things aren’t always consistent. Some days it’s soooo delicious and other days are horrible. Should we start asking” Who’s cooking today?” IDK. It’s a lot of money to spend and have a bad experience. Once again, atmosphere is great. Service is good. Just a bad day for food.

This isn’t the first time this has happened here but the response was worth the review. Today at lunch our food came out and there was a nice big hair in the food. The waitress was great and apologetic but then the manager came over and said she was sorry but sometimes these things do happen. – Almost like this was a regular occurrence here. The only way things like this happen is when hygiene and quality control are not in place.
Like I said in the beginning I’ve had this happen before and worse with Carryout food. Kind of hard to call and drive all the way back for a big fat hair in your food. I would ask that you take a step back and look at your staff and make adjustments daily.
On a positive note, the breakfast is excellent and have not had any issues then. Staff has always been friendly. And the Mimosa Flight for breakfast is a great start to your Sunday morning.

My wife and I ate at Vito’s on Lake Anna today as we do one day a week for lunch. Today’s choice was pizza. Easily the best pizza we have ever had. The dough is prefect! The new general manager, Ray, has brought so much spirit and ideas to the restaurant. He is a great addition to their team! Keep up the great work guys and we will see you next week!!

Hmm I’m not sure where to start… the vibe, great! The food, just ok. The service, mediocre at best. My wife and I went for casual drinks and dinner, our drinks were great although they took about 15 mins to get once ordered. Then we waited, and waited, finally got to place an order about 20 mins later. Our food took about 45 mins to come out after that. Got a penne vodka and chicken parm sub, nothing too crazy. The table next to us waited an hour and a half for their food! We felt bad for them. I would have loved to order more drinks, but we never saw the waitress again until it was time for our check. The live music was a great addition to the views. We would have loved it if our service was better, had refills, and food came a bit quicker.

A Perfect Anniversary Celebration at Vito’s – Truly Exceptional!
My husband and I celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary at Vito’s Restaurant at Lake Anna, joined by two very special friends — and what an unforgettable evening it was! We had never dined there before, but from start to finish, the experience was absolutely out of this world.
From the moment I called and spoke with Ray, the maître d’, I was impressed. I asked if we could bring our four little furry friends along, and he warmly said, “Of course — we have a patio where you can enjoy your meal with your dogs.” That gesture alone set the tone for the evening — welcoming, accommodating, and genuinely kind.
Our server, Patsy, was beyond exceptional — friendly, attentive, and sincerely caring. She went out of her way to make sure our anniversary was special, and she truly succeeded. The food was outstanding — every dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and prepared to perfection. I’ve traveled for 49 years and eaten in countless restaurants, and I can honestly say this meal ranks among the top ten dining experiences I’ve ever had.
To top it all off, the staff surprised us with a homemade anniversary dessert — a thoughtful, delicious gesture that made the night even more memorable.
We’ll absolutely be back again. If you’re looking for a place where the food, service, and atmosphere all come together perfectly, Vito’s at Lake Anna is it.
With gratitude,
Gene & Rick Davis-Higgins

The food was good, and if you are in the area, it is worth the time to stop in. The serving sizes are plentiful also, except for the side of broccoli. Please don’t select the seat near the kitchen entrance as you don’t want to watch dishes being washed.

My cousin and I met here for lunch on a Saturday. The weather was great, so we ate outside. The staff was wonderful – very pleasant and attentive. For appetizers, we had peel’n eat shrimp and calamari fritti. Both were delicious and portion size was great! For lunch, I had a blackened chicken panini, but had provolone instead of pepper jack. The sandwich was perfect, and so were the fries. My cousin had veal parmigiana and said it was good. She was surprised not to have a spoon to twirl the pasta, though. We could have asked for one, but she simply chopped up the spaghetti and ate it, lol. I forgot to take pictures of our food, so the pictures are from what I took home. We enjoyed our dining experience here and look forward to visiting this place again!!

We found ourselves near Lake Anna today and needing a place for lunch. We saw Vito’s and we were one of the first parties in at 11 AM. We were followed by several other patrons, which almost filled the space. Clearly a favorite of locals. It’s a small establishment, but has outdoor patio seating with extra seating. We found a very clean room, including clean and spacious restrooms. My friend and I both had the grilled chicken avocado subs with fries. The sandwich was a huge portion and delicious with cheese and bacon with all the fresh toppings. The chicken was flavored well and the avocado fresh. I like the true sub rolls. The fries were crunchy and seasoned perfectly. We enjoyed fresh iced tea as well. This was a lovely spot with a slight view of Lake Anna. And an easy drive back into the Fredericksburg area. There was ample parking and shared a Plaza with other restaurants and lounges, including an ice cream parlor.
