Let’s start off by saying Soulman’s BBQ was the only place open after calling 30+ restaurants the day after the big snow storm at end of January 2025. Richard, answered and told me to come on down. He meet me outside and walked me in, which showed me he takes pride not only in is restaurant and craft, but also his customers. Great atmosphere, with friendly staff. EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING. The brisket, was smokey, juicy, tender, tasty. Pulled pork was top notch. Good thing I got an extra half pound for my cat, who tore it up. First time trying fried cabbage and they didn’t disappoint. Pinto beans, which i normally don’t get, made me rethink my choices because it was so good. Everything I ordered was 10/10. My Sphynx hairless cat agrees also, since we split everything i order. Even the pinto beans and cabbage he ate up and wanted more. 1000% will be coming back when I’m in the area.

I visited the Lewisville location and was immediately greeted by the whole staff. Richard (the manager) was extremely friendly and asked if I tried their limited time wings. When I told him that I hadn’t, he let me sample one, and they didn’t disappoint. A great meal and great service guarantees a return visit from me.

Can’t even tell you how much I love this soulman’s location! Not only is the bbq fantastic, but the staff is just amazing. My husband and I come in at least 2-3 times a week to grab some turkey and French fries.
Every single time we come inside, it feels like we are coming over to families house. Everyone greets us, asks us how we are, and makes us feel like more than just another customer.
Now to the food – the turkey…. INSANE, the French fries… never had better in my life. We’ve tried lots of food from there and it’s all been incredible.. we just eat pretty lean so turkey on the go is easy and delicious. Other recommendations I’d say is the ribs, hot links, and spicy potatoes and baked potatoes. Like I said though, everything is delicious!!

I was craving for BBQ and came to Soulman’s. I took my items to go and thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. Ultimate favorite meat was brisket and the mac & cheese was divine. The staff were all very courteous and nice. Will definitely come back here!

The sausage and brisket are my favorite and always great, never dry!! I got the potatoes and spicy beans which were awesome!! I always have just an all around pleasant experience every time I go!!

I ordered a BBQ plate with 2 meats. I got the double brisket with pinto beans and fried cabbage. The food was really good. The fried cabbage had onions in it and that was a no for me, but everything else was good. I would definitely recommend

A coworker and I went there while on a business trip Sept 2025 and what an amazing meal it was. I had the ribs and chicken with hotlinks. Ribs and chicken fell off the bone and had an amazing rub on them. I didn’t even use bbq sauce. The rub was really perfect. Hotlinks were great, green beans and ranch beans were also great. Service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this place and will be back.

Great food, quick service, clean restaurant. This place served me my bowl in a plastic bowl. Excellent. The last time I went to the Lancaster location it was a paper box with a foil lining that got soggy and shredded. Lancaster may have been out of the plastic bowls, but this was definitely a better experience. I also got a ton of meat. Way tastier and cheaper than Cooper’s in FW.
